Re: Missing Micro User scans

Hi,
All of these mag scans have now been added to my games.
Thanks again for all your help.

BTW did you find any instructions for Entropy on 10.05?.

regards,
Mick.

Re: Missing Micro User scans

Fantastic!

The only other Micro User game that could benefit from some more instructions is Entropy on 10.05.
It has scrolling "in game" instructions, but it would be nice if there was some for reading before playing.

Mick.

Re: Missing Micro User scans

Hi, Yes The Paragon is a game. It is included on the Disc. Any text for it may be in the BBC PD section of the mag. There is a lot of text in 11.12 about the 2 extra screens, so I assume there is text about the game in 11.11. The game does have some instructions with it, but I am just wondering if t...

Re: Missing Micro User scans

Hi All,

Does anyone have a scan of Micro User/Acorn Computing 11.11 from Dec 1993 with any additional info for The Paragon?

There is some text in issue 11.12 for the extra screens, so I assume there is some for the main game.

Mick.

Re: Missing Micro User scans

Thank you so much for Knights game.
The game was on both 12.09 and 12.13 discs, but it looks like the info for it was only in the earlier mag.

Re: Missing Micro User scans

Hi Col, Power Raider is on 10.07 along with the Snake games. It was probably only issued on the disc and not printed in the mag like so many others. Not to worry, if nothing exists, then so be it, but it least we know. regards, Mick. EDIT: Found some Instructions for Power Raider on 8BS disc20 from ...

Re: tape inlay instructions wanted.

Hi All, After a very busy year of adding loads of instructions to various games, I thought I'd better print the current list of MIA game inlays that are still required (and not currently on Every Game Going or any other website I could find). Note: I have been able to make some instructions from rev...

Re: 30th Anniversary BBC and Electron Collection

Created in December 2019... here is Games Disc 141. Disc141.zip The disc is called Disc141.dsd so it can be loaded into a Datacentre on a real BBC without having to rename it. The 18 games on this disc include... Mover (Christmas Crackers) from The Micro User. Dominoes by R. F. Bloodworth. Snail Tra...

Re: Games with problems

Now added full instruction to Lazer Cycle from Every Game Going that tell you how to skip the instructions and also how to use the control keys to best effect etc.
The game is on D026 in Section 3 of my 30th Anniversary thread.

Mick.

Re: Games with problems

Hi Alan, Every Game Going now has full instructions for Lazer Cycle. It included the text featured in the game, but also tells you to press space to avoid and how to press the keys during play. When I get time, I will create some brand new instructions including this so the actual game then won't ne...

Re: Games with problems

Adding "OR PRESS SPACE" to Lazer Cycles is no problem, but is that changing the game or should the author/software house have included that anyway.

Re: Games with problems

Lazer Cycles is a funny game. It asks you to PRESS RETURN and then prints those scrolling instructions. What it doesn't tell you (and it should) is that if you press SPACE then you can skip to to the Enter Skill level part. Also you can press ESCAPE to abort them and start again. A demo is given if ...

Re: Games with problems

Don't forget that Leap Frog plays a tune after pressing any key before asking if you want instructions. If your sound is low or off you may miss the tune and wonder why nothing is happening while it plays.

hope this helps

Here is Alternative Disc012 from 2019. AltD012.zip The Hunt from Robico Software is the Disc version and you can save your position to a blank disc. Pitfall Pete from Beebug includes the original game plus 10 new screens from issue (10.07). Breakout (Fun Games) from Acornsoft/BBC Soft is the earlier...

Missing Micro User scans

Hi All, I would like to add any missing instructions for Micro User games to my discs, however, there are a few exceptions with The Micro User/Acorn Computing scans on the 8 bit web page where scans of the magazines do not exist. It may even be that the games still missing instructions may have been...
