Re: RISC OS 3.20 ROM's?

Would anyone like me to upload the various other bits? 1) the ROM builder I am going to hold off on releasing this until I double-check with [qUE] 2) the messages module builder http://home.marutan.net/hg/messages/ http://home.marutan.net/hg/messages/file/e0b893ebb166/%21Help%2Cfff The zips provide...

Re: https certificates?

Let's Encrypt terrifies me. Although it's purporting to be fully trustworthy, in practice the only thing it protects against is control of a domain changing after the certificate has been issued. Certification is supposed to give a more sure proof of identity than that. I don't know whether or not ...

Re: RISC OS 3.20 ROM's?

Well I found it, though the C linked apps are not working. Looking at the date on this made me feel old :D I think my plan might have been to use the disc based versions of !Edit, !Paint and !Draw that shipped with RISC OS 3.50 ro311p1.png ROM311p1.zip Would anyone like me to upload the various othe...

Re: RISC OS 3.20 ROM's?

I have the bits and pieces around to do this, many years ago qUE gave me a ROM builder program that you could use to attach a different set of modules to the RO 3.1 kernel header. I wrote a program to de-construct the 'messages' module, which contains the contents of the ROM filing system, add in fi...

Re: ABUG EAST MIDLANDS (Winter Warmer) 17-19 November 2017 (Leicestershire) BOOKING THREAD

A big thanks to Alex for organising this weekend. I had a great time, managed to actually do what I set out too. I got the network computer booting off a modern linux (rather than an ancient solaris), Rob C repaired my A4, then Chris M helped me set up gcc for the beeb so my silly 'game' can progres...

Last time at Markfield I managed to repair my A4 keyboard connector, which was nice. Unfortunately since then my A4 has failed in another way. [1] Would anyone be willing to assist in a little diagnostic help over the weekend? :) [1] After leaving the machine on for a few hours I now have power ligh...

I have a bunch of those - the 2001fp. If I recall correctly you need one with a date of July 2007 and earlier. They do work with 15khz but you have to use the controls to adjust the picture back to centre each time you turn the machine on. Not ideal but not a show stopper. It does have s video as w...

I guess I need something like the SCSIReader in SCSITools from https://www.4corn.co.uk/articles/riscix121c/, but for ADFS. Does anyone have anything suitable already written? At the CCH earlier this year Sarah Walker and I bodged SCSIReader into ADFSReader to image an st506 drive, if memory serves ...

An alternative is just to use composite video (with colour mod), then you get slightly muted colours by default

Re: RISC OS Adjust: change registered user

From memory, this information was burnt into the flash roms that ROL provided, as such it won't be changable easily (popping the ROMS out, reverse engineering the format, burning a new image with an eeprom programmer). I think you're stuck with it :) Think I found a reference, http://www.riscos.com/...

You need to have the universal boot with the 'Nested Window Manager' installed.

This give version 3.98 of the window manager module.

Yes, you lucked out by breaking a spare. Assuming there's not another break anywhere, the positive side has the 2 connectors and you could use either.

I'm glad you're taking a look at it. The whole thing is very thrown together from bits of what I was working on about 15 years ago so my memory is dim, to say the least. I got it all working well enough to compile and run the Contiki operating and run it as a web-server on my Master hooked up to th...

Re: cc65 C Cross Compiler

Just taking a stab in the dark but try including os.s in your crt0.s file. I've seen that os.s is exporting these missing symbols. I tried tweaking libsrc/bbc/crt0.s to include oslib/os.s where it then complained on making that it was including duplicate defines for things, so I'm pretty sure bbc.l...

I managed to get work I'd done copied over to a newer 2.16 version of cc65. This compiles and I've run a simple hello world program built by it but not much more. I suspect there are bugs and I seem to remember pressing Esacape caused programs to die horribly! https://github.com/dominicbeesley/cc65...

4corn update 28/07/2017 - Circuit Diagrams

As mentioned in another thread; 38 Circuit and assembly diagrams, some new, some not.

Stuff for System/Atom/BBC/Electron with some I've not seen before in each category.

All scanned at a nice high res.
