I think I will list each cassette here. If anyone wants anything UEFing, let me know. If anyone wants a physical cassette posting to them, let me know.

Expect reliability over speed ;)

Electron versions of archived software

Today I collected a free Acorn Electron with an Acorn Plus 1 and a P.R.E.S Plus 3, along with a box of tapes, a handful of disks and a couple of cartridges. This is the first tangible Acorn I've owned since 1990ish. Of course I would have loved an Archimedes in 1987, but absolutely couldn't afford o...

Re: Today I received.....

Today I collected an Acorn Electron and some related miscellany. I always said that emulators were fine for me, I don’t have the space, etc. etc. But this was free, so…

I had a Model B back in the day so I don’t know much about the Elk. Won’t be able to switch it on until later this evening.

Ah! So the "Edited" date on CASA is a bit misleading then.
Yeah, I guess. I've never considered that adding an attachment, such as a solution, doesn't count as an edit.

Yes. What should it say?
Oh something like
"You have succeeded in saving your country. Expect a medal at the very least".

Re: Bomb Alert

I wrote the walkthrough today. If there's no newer version around then I guess adding our own PROCwon is one solution.

Bomb Alert

The version on the site (0.15) crashes when you win the game as there is no PROCwon! There's no PROCwin or similar either.

Code: Select all

 3190IF V%=3 PRINT"The bomb has been disarmed.":PROCwon
I'm assuming this came from JJR-09-1 as the same version is found there.

Yes RN is room number. The second part is checking the location of object 43 is room number 102.
And now I can't replicate this. Line 160 takes precedence when you enter the room holding the object, so it doesn't need to check for you dropping the item in line 1230. No action needed!

But 30000 does not exist. Suggest 3400.

But in January 1987 he says
Robico's BLAZING STAR should be bulging from a few stockings. If you haven't yet got it I really must recommend it. If you have seen either GHOST TOWN or PONY EXPRESS, BLAZING STAR is in that vein but ten times better.

Re: The Vespozian Affair

It was not a labour of love! Also, it's probably about 50% typed-in and 50% corrected from poor OCRd text. I think I can safely say that all my typing will prove to be correct and all of the errors were ones I missed proof-reading the OCR

The Vespozian Affair

From the Computer & Video Games Year Book 1984. I typed it in and the problem is that now I've no desire to actually play it - it's as if the act of inputting it has drained me of all enthusiasm! It'd therefore be great if anyone would like to play it through to the end and correct any errors. Oh, a...

No, not yet. Currently 127 of 480 games are without solutions.
