Re: Noisy Master 128 speaker problem

Thanks for the info Mark,
I'm hopeless at soldering myself - I'll have to find somebody to do it for me...
In the meantime it's quite amusing hearing the cpu churning away - some games really get it going.

Noisy Master 128 speaker problem

Hi,
I can hear a lot of CPU hiss thru my Masters speaker.
Especially in high rez mode 0.
Any ideas how I could fix this?

Re: Play it again Sam

Thanks for all the info - very cool. I only have early Acorn Users and Micro Users prior to 1987 so couldn't check any adverts. (How about somebody scans and posts the whole lot?!) The dates I'd dug up were from the 8bs reviews but some were contradictory so I figure probably wrong. I'll have to get...

Play it again Sam

Has anybody got .ssd dumps of the "Play it again Sam" disks they could post? From what I can work out there were 19 issued with the following dates and contents . Most of the individual games are on STH already but not the full disks. Does anyone know the months of original release? Thanks - PJ 1 19...

Re: Definitive list?

I guess magazine type ins don't really qualify although there may be many of those on the list already! Maybe I should add a another catagory. Post the disk image when you have the time. There are 319 games listed that I could not find images for. Those are the ones without pictures which you can se...

Re: Games Screenshots

Hi, 2899 refers to somebodies list of BBC games I found online. The list is attached here. I can't find the list online today but typing one of the names in it into google will bring up similar lists. It contains many variations of the same game and most of them can be found on the STH as tape image...

Re: Definitive list?

I guess bbclist is the definite list.
Attached is the current list - it's a text file so easy to add items to.
Which games do you have not on the list?
Thanks

Re: Nutcraka Music

Yes, I think the game is in 4 colour Mode1 with a couple of palette splits. Earlier versions of beebem would freeze up running it. The author went on to do some pretty famous games: http://www.bitmap-brothers.co.uk/company/staff-profiles/directors/john-phillips/index.htm The music sounds very famili...

Nutcraka Music

Hi,

Does anybody know what the Nutcraka music is called and where it originally came
from?

I'm guessing it was an existing tune before appearing in Nutcraka?

You can check it out on youtube:

Re: Chuckie's Back!

Thanks for the feedback!
A bbc version is possible - programming the 6502 is a bit more effort than 'c' though... so no promises.
No Mac version - sorry.
Has anybody got to level 9 yet?

PitfallJones's new BBC Fansite.

Hi All,

Here's a new BBC fan site I've made that you might find fun:

http://pitfall.gigacities.net/

It's got some back and front cover scans of Acorn User and Micro User.
(I just love those old Micro Power game adverts)
And screenshots for just about every BBC game in existence! (~1800).
