Awesome release!! =D> =D> =D>
I remember you were trying to fix a bug at abug (how appropriate!) in one of the interlaced effects at the beginning of this year.

Oh, this is very useful! Already found a few crappy games on the Acorn Electron that I have to try. Thanks! =D> :D

If you want to inspect the source code yourself: https://github.com/kieranhj/elite-beebasm

I haven't inspected the source code but I'm pretty sure they use different variants of the Bresenham line drawing algorithm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bresenham ... _algorithm

Re: DEMOSCENE TOP DEMO

You'll need a BBC Master to run most of the recent demos! Also, in around a week's time there'll be another one to add to the list... assuming I don't collapse from lack of sleep before Saturday! Good luck and I'm looking forward to another great release! (the bar will be higher every time  )

Re: DFS1770

I just checked. I had my BeebEm in Master 128 mode. Then PAGE is &E00. If you are using BBC B mode then PAGE is &1900.
If your data file is at &1400 that may very well overwrite crucial DFS workspace. Why not load the data file elsewhere?

Re: DFS1770

How are you reserving space for that data file and your assembly code? Either of them may be overwriting your BASIC program?

Edit: PAGE should be &E00 (but you can check easily).

Many thanks for taking the time to post these. I haven't been able to attend any of the virtual meetups so far, and the videos are hugely useful. Dominic's PCB advice and 0xCODE's demo coding talk were particularly interesting. That's very nice to hear, Gary, thank you! (there would be no...

You're right but be careful those 2 loops are not the same. You are skipping the Y==0 case, and including the Y==160 case.
I could be wrong , but I've moved the DEY so I think I have corrected for that ?

Re: RPG project

RLE is fine of course. Unpacking with pucrunch or exomizer is really fast. Fast enough to switch between tilesets on demand. The unpacker is about 300+ bytes for each. Just choose whatever works best for you at this moment. I'm following your progress with interest! =D>
