All fixed! I was able to take my Elk to RetroClinic, which happens to be very close to where I live, and Mark diagnosed a faulty RAM chip (good spot Daniel!), replaced it and all is well! Thanks. I have had the ULA out and given it a quick wipe with a suitable material, to no effect, however I am a complete novice at this.
