I can't seem to get it working on the Electron though. That's more than likely my SIDplayer SIDPELK it's been tested on a grand total of 1 Elk's so far. Things to check: External speakers Like DanielJ says hook up external amplifer of some sort (and test on beeb if you can) Does it run at all Do yo...

Since it's virtually in my back yard (<10 miles), I think it would be remis of me not to go and have a look round :-)

Re: BeebSID

This was the LS02 I think - just out of idle interest, what was in the packet? Yeah, it says SN74LS02N on the package, but the chips inside are SN74LS47N. I wouldn't have noticed but for the fact that the LS47 has more legs than my socket :-) I have gone back and checked the other chips, IC2 with t...

Re: High Score Challenge S11 - R3 - Boffin

Stuck on level 6 at the mo. A little more practice needed I think. Been busy building my BeebSID today so not a lot of time for playing Boffin. I am getting to like it though and getting used to the BeebEm version as it's not playable on my Master, I get the same blank screen issue that KarateEd had...

Thanks IanS and marcusjambler for the good advice. Built the BeebSID today and was very impressed with my soldering. Consistently getting between 11 an 13k now after a few warm up rounds and quit and restarts. My 14inch CRT monitor died and it was really difficult when I switched to this LCD TV. Well Dave, I would prefer the original case, but hey, if you haven't got them then a 3D printed plastic substitute would be ok just as long as I can get my hands on the AP5 :-)
