Thanx. I have already looked here. The manual scan is from the C64 version of ELITE. What I am looking for is a scan of the Acornsoft/Superior Software Ltd Electron ELITE Space Flight Traders Manual AND keyboard strip. Strangely, it is not available to download anywhere on the net? GoSDC with the cartridge adapter will work for you.
Alternatives would need additional hardware like the AP5 http://www.acornelectrontoday.com/pres- ... 4594060136 or Electron UPURS https://www.retro-kit.co.uk/page.cfm/co ... RAM-board/

Re: WANTED : Electron Plus 1
Ahh OK Thanks for the correction. Any idea on what i should expect to pay ? I know value is what its perceived to be but a ballpark average of a Plus 1's value would be useful. I bought my current Plus 1 through eBay for £20. I was the only bidder luckily. BTW, If you acquire a Plus 1 from Dave it’...

I have on disk Elite for the Electron from www.acornelectron.co.uk DVD. Unfortunately it’s the tape version transferred to disk and saving and loading commanders is to tape.

Re: Upgrade route explanation please ?
If you don’t have a Plus 1, then there is the GoSDC. http://www.zeridajh.org/hardware/gosdc/index.htm You will need the Elk2GoSDC adaptor to fit it as well. Alternatively, there is this SD card interface which works just as well and is cheaper https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fww...

Re: BBC B Elite versions
It's a disk image I came across and not from physical media.
It either came on the USB stick that came with the Gotek I purchased from RetroClinic, or I downloaded from somewhere (StairWayToHell???). I really don't remember.

Re: BBC B Elite versions
I think it's actually the "BBC Master" version that someone has renamed. Not sure that's correct. I just opened the menu (BASIC) on the disk: 160 IF O%=0 PROCbbc 170 IF O%=1 PROCbbcsram 180 IF O%=2 PROCmaster 190 IF O%=3 PROCsecpro ... 1080 DEF PROCbbcsram 1090 IF secpro% THEN PROCspoff 1...

BBC B Elite versions
I came across a disk for the BBC with Elite and was surprised to find it had three versions of Elite e.g. Standard, Sideways RAM and second processor. I’ve heard of both standard and second processor versions, but not the version supporting sideways RAM. A quick search with Google didn’t bring any h...

Re: Copy BBC disk to PC using Smart SPI
I don’t have one of these devices but I would think you should create some blank disk images in the Beeb.mmb first. Mount your physical floppy disk in one drive and mount a blank disk from the smart spi in a different drive and use the standard commands of dfs\adfs to copy files from one drive to th...

Microsoft Visual C++ runtimes can be downloaded from https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads I see you have configured the GoSDC for DFS I would recommend using DFS Explorer to create and manage your disk collection. Re: BBC B+ 64K upgrades and expansions
As the B+ can take 32KB EPROMs by default, I always have a DS1230Y in mine. This gives 2 banks of non-volatile sideways RAM and so is ideal for loading with DFSE00 and ADFSE00. That way, you get ADFS and DFS with PAGE at E00 just like on a Master. I also added some standard SRAM to my B+ 64 to take...

Wanting to try out the 2nd processor, I found some Hi-Basic versions here: http://mdfs.net/Software/BBCBasic/BBC/ Can anyone please recommend which one will work with the above setup and how best to load and run it? HiBasic 3 should be the right version. I’ve tried it by loading it into sideways RAM.

I now want to explore connecting the Electron to a modern monitor/TV. I figure I need a SCART to HDMI converter for this. Any recommendations? For all my stuff (mainly asm) I u...

I use VSCode+BeebAsm to develop my 6502 code on a Windows machine and test the resulting disk image in an emulator. Alternatively, Notepad++ with BeebAsm works equally well. Both VSCode and Notepad++ can do 6502 code syntax coloring, which is essential to me. That's certainly something I need to ch...

Are you interested in external editors or are you only looking for editors on the machine itself? Actually both now I think about it. I'm torn between both ways because of usability issues. If I can find editors with better UX experience on real hardware it'll be a big improvement. Example for Basi...
