Not sure how adaptable ZIDEFS is; ideA (or at least the podule I own) has a somewhat different memory map to the modern IDE podules. As does the RISC Developments podule.

Were there multiple different ICS IDE podules? Because ZIDEFS is especially for the ICS IDE podules.

I *think* this happens when no DNS resolver module is available. Check rommodules if anything is unplugged - every RISC OS version shipped with the A7000+ should contain a resolver module.
