Re: ABUG SOUTH 1 to 3 June 2018 (Hampshire) BOOKING THREAD

Robert, Are you bringing a laptop with beamer for a video connection to the TechSat meeting in Wijbosch - NL? I haven't managed to source a projector. If anyone has one, please do bring it along. Also, my laptop will be no use. It is one of the new MacBooks with only USB-C and I don't have the requ...

Re: ABUG SOUTH 1 to 3 June 2018 (Hampshire) BOOKING THREAD

In terms of extensions, if you have both, please bring both. But I think long leads are likely to be the more important. It is a big square room, with power points only on the walls. I don't yet know how we will lay out the room, but as the number of people is fewer than I had hoped for, we will hav...

As we still have places available, I just mentioned the ABUG meetup in the Dragon FB group, as a lot of them seem to also be into beebs as well......

Hope this was ok to do.....

Cheers.

Phill.
Thanks. It would be great if we could get some people from the 6809 community along.

Phil has jolted my memory, for people who have been before probably obvious, be it abug or Dragon users! Suddenly occurred to me I probably need to dig out some extension leads. Also does the venue take plastic for food&drink, assume it does but worth checking or I might be very hungry/thirsty. Ext...

For those that are extra enthusiastic, the venue has confirmed that the room is not being used during the day on Friday, so we can go in as early as we like. However, at present, I am planning to be to be there by about 3pm. Otherwise we have the room from 8am each morning and we have to be out by m...

Preferred payment is by PayPal. I will send everyone a PM with my PayPal details. Please can you mak...

Re: ABUG SOUTH 1 to 3 June 2018 (Hampshire) BOOKING THREAD

Most of the Apple II's, in particular, the Apple II Europlus (which is what I suspect your friend had) had Astec PSUs that were very similar to those in Beebs and have very similar RIFA paper capacitors. I do have some books on the Apple II that may cover this in a bit more detail. The main problem ...

I didn't feel I could move forward with it this year. I had a lot on my plate with my new appointment and I wonted to put what little time I...

It's a part-time Crown Court judge. The key points to understand is that everyone now needs to refer to my as 'Your Honour' and I have the power to sentence people to very long prison terms.

Re: BBC micro style keycaps for modern keyboard

A few points: If we are going to have them made to fit Cherry MX key-switches then part of the tooling will have to be changed to deal with that. If they just remake the old Beeb keycaps then that is going to have very limited appeal. Indeed, there were a number of different key-switches used on Bee...

Absolutely no objection. But as I said, probably quicker and easier to start afresh with a blank template.
