I'm also working on a BOM for each board, which are mostly complete:
https://github.com/hoglet67/RGBtoHDMI/w ... tom-Board)
I am ordering parts but I don't have a Farnell account so I'm looking at my usual parts suppliers.

Will a SN74LVC1G66DBVR be OK instead of SN74LVC1G66DBVT?

Re: Atom Video to HDMI Adapter

Can you guys suggest a good all-round JTAG programmer for the Xilinx 9572XL used here that I can also use with other popular Xilinx chips?

TIA

and postage to Netherlands is only slightly more than in the UK
OK then, so I'll pay you and you send it direct to me. Saves another postage cost from Roland to me then.

And we'll sort out the 8k Noise Killer when its ready.

PM on its way.

Re: Atom Video to HDMI Adapter

Excellent! I've already ordered the box to put it in.

Now, I am one of the Dutch group (even though I'm British) who @Roland is organising shipment for.
Do we pay you or him?
Also, are we waiting for the noise killer board so they are shipped together?

Re: Atom 2k18 ?

I have always known them as calipers. I have a plastic set that came free with an industry magazine!
Some people I used to work with, who will remain nameless, called them verniers, which is wrong.
The calipers have a vernier scale.
So I guess it’s calipers or vernier calipers.

I was going to make up some 4/5-chip Video RAM/Noise Killer boards, using the following:
- 1x generic 8Kx8 SRAM
- 1x 74LS123
- 1x 74LS245
- 1x 74LS573
- 1x 74LS00 (or maybe just go with 2 diodes like the original)
I’d like one of these too.

I am willing to order a few boards for people in the Netherlands if that saves on shipping costs. I also want a board for my Yarrblue Atom.
I’m up for that if there’s enough interest.

I cannot answer to your monitor question but I want to make a remark about this setup: it really looks like an advertisement of the Atom. There are completely no wires visible. Yes, it works. D452CDC9-9668-40F7-9496-4A5B732DDABD.jpeg However, that’s as far as I can adjust the vertical size of the picture and the monitor has started a quiet ticking noise. The electrolytic caps look OK (no bulges or obvious leakage), any monitor experts here? Shall I change the big one, it p...

The Yarrb board has it own way to enable the buffer. Maybe you want to wait for it. The boards should arrive quite soon. Yes, I think I will wait. I will build the Tube interface and install AtoMMC in the meantime. I am still unsure of which colour board to go for but that's not a priority right no...

Re: Atom Tube Interface

I've had a quick scan of this thread to look for the capacitor values for the Atom Tube Interface, but not seen any reference to them. C1 is obviously a decoupling cap, probably 100nF but what about C4? C2 is electrolytic: 10µF 16v maybe? What happened to C3? In the photos I've seen, R1 is a wire li...

Male double header strip for PL7 I think.

PL7 connector type and PL4 change

Is there a preferred connector type for PL7? Something that will suit most applications. - Just normal pins (male)? - an IDC tray connector that ensures polarity (male)? - a female version of PL6 as seen on one of Roland's boards? I have a Tube interface to assemble so PL7 will dictate what connecto...

The Elk-modified AMX rom that I prepared for Stuart and that he posted earlier in this thread, (' AMX ' on side 2 of the posted dsd image), has a Checksum-32 of $2CF656 .
