Re: New Disk Image Editor

Firstly thank you for a great looking and easy to use disk image editor.

Was wondering if you are planning on implementing support for the larger ADFS disk images used by the Archimedes/Risc PC (1.6mb etc..)?

Re: Open source firmware for Gotek floppy emulator released

I've loaded 16_6 onto my GOTEK and downloaded the new Prince of Persia game (SSD). Works a treat. Also saved a game within Prince of Persia. That's all the testing I've done so far. Another question. What do you use to create blank floppy disk images, SSD, DSD, ADL/ADF 640k,800k, 1.2Mb, 1.6Mb? HxCFl...

Re: AEH60 schematics & ROM image

I've never seen a schematic, but the fact it has programmable logic on the board would make it hard to reproduce, unless you had the details of the logic within. Do you want to re-create one just to get Econet on a RISC-PC/A7000, as there are simplified circuits that can use a standard master modul...

ECONET AEH60 schematics & ROM image

Hi All,

Do the schematics exist for this econet interface?
Are there any ROM images available?

Was thinking of making one if possible.

Thanks Scott.

Hi All,

I know what beebscsi is for, but could someone explain what the internal VFS adaptor is for?

Is this to allow the domesday86 project to work?

Re: GoTek Floppy - MDFS

I’ve tried using early firmware 0.97 & 0.96. Has made no difference. Thanks for the link to the disk images Jgharston. Any idea how I successfully make them into .HFE images? I’ve tried creating a custom disk layout in HxCemulator 5x1024 and then import as a raw image format. But the MDFS doesn’t re...

GoTek Floppy - MDFS

Hi, Been playing with a GoTek (Flash Floppy firmware v0.9.8a) with a MDFS SJ Research File Server. I can't seem to create a blank .HFE disk image that I can initialise or format within the MDFS. I used HxCFloppyEmulator v2.1.8.0 to create a disk dump image from an actual 5.24" MDFS Master FS ver 2 F...

Re: Econet level 3 file server Manager's Guide

Yes I was surprised and how little detail there was in the installation guide. Looks like they had pretty much automated the whole disk initialisation process and they don't really mention it or go into any great depth at all. I also think it was a mistake to not display privledged users when doing ...

Hi Beebmaster,

Yes 1.24 is much more reliable. I've been using it since IanB uploaded it. Almost 2 years now and haven't looked back. Seems to support the Archimedes more reliably also. With the earlier versions I would sometimes get weird server crashes.

Also be aware that there are a number of CF and SD IDE adapters that won't work in the A3020. CF is especially incompatible these days.

If you search the forum you should come across a number of posts discussing it.
