Re: Should the search box be selected

To be blunt this type of attitude is why I felt I had to take a break. You were trying to dictate what I and other volunteers should or should not do with our time. I find this demoralising. Please stop taking the fun out of my hobby or I will have to find another one. Paul, I'm not trying to dicta...

Re: Setting up bbcmicro.co.uk on your PC

Please remember that the purpose of this thread is to discuss setting up a development environment. My memory isn't so bad that I've already forgotten that (yet!). What threw me was the mention of "six months", but I think you've clarified that now. in answer to your question Lurkio, No I am not sa...

Re: Should the search box be selected

I didn't want disjoint repos to start slowly drifting out of sync This doesn't concern me at all, it is one of the problems Git is designed to address, and in my opinion it is really good at it. Yes, by all accounts (and in my own albeit limited experience) Git is a good version control system. No ...

Re: Setting up bbcmicro.co.uk on your PC

Are these new tmp files regularly re-created? They are the files created by the archdl process. This relies on someone having run the process recently enough, but since the database is 6 months old in the repository I expect it will be fine. I'm not sure I quite understand what you're saying there....

The discussion seems to have deviated somewhat from the original title... I'm happy for the mods to split the thread if they want to. I for one am willing to make a commit I suppose I meant anyone willing to work on the code. Any member of stardot could fork it to the stardot repo, but it's kind of...

I'm happy to move it to the stardot group if anyone who is willing to make a commit prefers. Well, I haven't really used webdev tools in anger, as they say, but I know enough to be dangerous! So if that counts, then I for one am willing to make a commit and would prefer the site code to be stored i...

Eek! :o I should clarify that I think that the server is backed up automatically, every so often. So hopefully any catastrophic failures can be recovered from. But I think that what's missing is a source-code control repo for all the bbcmicro.co.uk site code in its current state. The Stardot Github...

What phone and browser are you using?

There should be a Search button near the top right-hand corner of the homepage.
