Re: Today I received.....

My Alpha was the only machine I wish I'd never let go. Although it went to a good home. The best classic Acorn machine in my opinion. Big CPU grunt and RO3.1.

Re: Karma - The Flight Trainer

Re: Show us your retro computers

I’ve always been somewhat fascinated by the QL. Is there much software for it? And much of a current scene? Has it had stuff ported to it over recent years like the beeb and Commodore platforms have? Get one and get yourself over to the forum :D There are people porting software and stuff. A lad I ...

Slightly random story, but when I did my school work experience at Durham County Hall in the mid 90s, they still had systems using 8" floppies, at depots and a museum.

Re: Psion 2 organiser P464 July93

There are three kinds of backs, rampak with battery backed ram, datapak with the uv eproms, and flashpaks that eeproms you can erase via the organiser.

I think they are great little machines, shame they have such a niche following.

Apparently there is a developer software you can use on dosbox, and it has an opltrans program, that will work on an old pc (or dos box)

Translate is when you compile the opl program into a runnable version. It might be possible to do this with an emulator? I don't have a cable etc to connect my psions to a pc etc. :( It might be easier to buy the cheapest 2 line organiser you can find, and just write the pak that way. Your 64k LZ mo...
