CJE Micros do a "loan" of a 5.25 cleaning disc, I used it only the other month.. If I remember its £10 for a week's loan.. :wink:

I thought that ULA was only on Issue 2, and Issue 4's had the Metal Top Springy Clip... for want of a better description.. :lol: Obviously not..!

I sold my old Master on ebay years ago because of precisely those symptoms. Apart from Powering on, thats all it did... silence... flashing cursor... completely dead keyboard... no response to any wiggles or removing / replacing Roms... sold it and got a lovely "new" Retroclinic one..! Did...

Pretty much every Electron ULA benefits from a little "Massage Treatment " :D
Mine does it approx twice a year... works perfect then suddenly not booting with a plain white or yellow screen.
Open her up, give the ULA chip a little wiggle about, and all is well... :D

Funny enough, my Electron isn't screwed together either, as every so often it needs its ULA "massaging" to get it to behave... :lol:

For me, the Master with Retroclinic's 4 way Multi OS and internal Datacentre seems the best of all worlds... only come across Zalaga that doesn't like that version of OS 1.2 .. although i'm sure other games complain too.. :-k

Mine is a 19 inch Bush LCD from Argos. About 8 years old ?
Works fine on my Master and Elk on RGB to Scart. Good, stable and sharp picture , good colours. :-D
