Slogger Labels

Here is a photo of the Slogger Labels that I'm looking after for DaveM (Arcadian). I hope to make them available but need to check with Dave first. I'll Edit this post when I know. All Labels.jpg I'm not sure how useful the large labels will be, however, the EPROM labels would give you that look of ...

Pegasus 400 Label for case

Having found a Label printer that doesn't charge a fortune here . . . I got to wondering if Pegasus 400 users would like a label for their new case? The price would be around £1.50 including postage. Does anyone have an original Pegasus? If you do could you post a image of the label, please. Second ...

Re: Electron overheating video

Is the PSU inside the main case (sorry don't have an Electron)? If so, drawing more current from the PSU may not be causing problems with voltage sag, just causing the PSU to generate more heat and contribute to the inside the case temperature. Yes, the PSU is inside the Electrons case with the AC ...

Re: P.R.E.S. AP5 - Original and Re-Design

DaveB (Hoglet) has found an Error with the AP5 design! See this thread. So far it doesn't look as if it's very serious - e.g. Just remove it for now, if you experience any issues with the 1MHz Bus operation (none reported, so far!) or any issues with > See above link. Any updates on this issue will ...

Re: ADFS 1.30 disassembly

Found it . . . There's a 1K pull down connected to pin 12 of the Tube connector - Data 0. With nothing connected to Data 0 on the 1MHz Bus connector. Ooooops! It seems as if this may just need to be removed. I'll post this error in the AP5 thread and keep everyone up-to-date on any further issues wi...

Re: ADFS 1.30 disassembly

OK, Can't find my original AP5 (I've put it somewhere safe  ), however, here's a photo showing a resistor near to the Tube connector - I don't see any reason, other than the pull down in question, why that should be there! So, probably right about it being in the wrong place - - - I'll keep on ...

Re: ADFS 1.30 disassembly

So, what's the purpose of R7??? It seems it was copied over from the original AP5 reverse engineered schematics (R1 there). It actually makes more sense for this to be on the Tube than the 1MHz bus. On the Tube it would ensure the Co Pro detection worked correctly. Dave, is any chance this is a sma...

Re: Electron overheating video

@Duncan . . . Everything should be well buffered, in respect of the Data lines etc. Which would only leave the power supply! I've carried out lots of tests, recently and BITD, however, there's still a chance you could have a faulty unit. Could you monitor the +5V line at the PSU connector to the mai...

When you have a board sorted even if there's no FPGA code working on it yet, let me know. I'm quite interested in doing a port myself too as a fun project.

Re: EUPURS and AP5 Cable(s)

As a matter of interest Do the cables you supply connect to user port 2 Idc or the pin header? I'm supplying the USB to Serial leads, the one recommended by MartinB, along with a 9 pin 'D' to 7 pin connector for the header pins - I epoxy a 4 and 3 way together and 'mark' pin 1. I could send you the DXF of the 'spreader' interface PCB, if that would help? Couldn't harm to look :) I'll dig it out . . . Current design replaces the ULA socket with standard turned-pin sockets. Do you have a link to the socket you're using for that? Similar to these. Whilst I think on, are you ...

Re: Broken New AP5 Fixed & Electron Mouse testing

Not the MRB, pulled it this evening, was a pain as don’t know where I put the MOS, stole it from another Electron, and as they are both issue 4’s I took its ULA as well. (For my overheating issue, not put that in yet in case removing MRB fixes that). That's good, at least we're down to a basic mach...
