Personal Computer World scans!
Finally! In a rather convoluted path, someone I know has got his relative to finally share a ton of PCW scans to us. They haven't arrived yet, but I'm told its a complete archive of every PCW, issue 1 to sometime in 1984. I had a few PDF's 2 or 3 years ago, but he wouldnt share more.. the PDF's are ...

welcome Jeramy while you're waiting for a Beeb (you gotta get one!) do have a look on ancestry.com. it's very easy to go back a hundred years or two (depending on census availability) and you might find links to certain towns. Google maps is a godsend once you have census records. I found great grea...

Re: For Sale: IDE Podules again
Hi ian! great news, I found the weak point in the chain - my ide>sd adaptor. the little swine no longer works. I am sure I used it in an amiga and I used the same model in an a3020 but here, with the SD cards and Micro-SD cards I have now, its not playing ball. I posted in the 'how to format on a ri...

hi I'm using the exact same heads, cylinders, no long file names as per the 1st post. hopefully that lot adds up to under 512mb - can you suggest an alternative set of numbers that are also known to work? tried 3 sd and micro sd cards and adaptors, and also a compact flash card. i had suspected the ...

Re: Formatting SD/CF cards for use on RISC OS 3.1
hello, old thread:) using a recent version of risc os on pi, I am having trouble initialising SD cards for use in an a3010, under ZIDEFS. The A3010 thinks the cards are not initialised (even though under risc os on the pi, they show fine and i can copy to and from) the guide here mentions using !HFo...

Re: BBC, electron, atom, arch(?) on retropie?
Advmame and its emulation of a system such as bbc /electron are launched from within emulationstation. And when you exit advmame, you return to emulationstation. So I think it works as you ask. It's cool.

Re: BBC, electron, atom, arch(?) on retropie?
Hello Just look for advmame, install that. That comes with a compiled advmess executable that runs quite nicely for BBC B and Electron. Once the B is booted, usually *exec !boot runs the disk you've mounted and *chain works everytime for electron. It works really nicely. IMHO dont bother with beebem...
