Hi Andy,

I can do that for you - I upgraded my own podule some time ago and still have the image.

Might take me a couple of weeks though as I'm a bit busy at the moment.

Re: FPA 10 diagnosis...

You're probably fine if you're using a recent version of FPE, but as long as the FPEmulator doesn't have an 'E' in its version number (*help fpemulator) then it should support hardware FPA. You will also need to turn on the FPA test in !Si, if that's what you're using, or it will not even look for ...

Probably a stupid question, but are you using the FPA-supporting version of FPEmulator (4.xx)? The standard RISC OS 3.1 version won't work properly.
Yes I've got 4.36 on a Pi and 4.35 on the 260 (going to update shortly)

Hi Guys

Trying to get an FPA 10 working, keeps saying "Not fitted" in benchmarks but figures are way up on standard machine (R260). Machine works fine otherwise and is standard 25 Mhz. I may need to clean the socket. Suggestions ?

Re: IDE interfaces - hardware details

I wonder if the firmware on the 6C version PCB 'catches-up' with these features? Anyone know? Probably, I'm sure it probably gained partition support if nothing else. The 5x version was upgraded quite a lot, from when ZIDEFS was written - the latest version I have is attached. Maybe worth a try? BE...

Go you , rewriting your own IDEFS... braver than me lol. Nope, not me, it was John Kortink - http://www.zeridajh.org/software/zidefs/index.htm I just produced compatible hardware. Back to being nosey. I bought two of the cards, one for my R260 and an 8bit one for my A3010. Am I correct in what I th...

The boards I produced are not hardware compatible with any Baildon cards. IDEFS software module don't just magically work with any IDE hardware interface. Re: IDE interfaces - hardware details

I'm going to (possibly) throw a very late spanner in the trumpet. I'm fortunate to have a V6C Baildon APDL 16Bit card and a 8Bit A31in 5B. In the course of my fiddling, The 6C got flashed to IDEFS 3.28, which allows me to have a stupendously long Bar of 8 500+Mb drives on a partitioned 4GB CF card. ...

Also can I have an 8bit V3 as my Adelaide machine is tight for space.

Re: IDE podules - 8 and 16 bit versions

So the 8 bit fits internally to an A3000 but has half the data rate of an (external) 16 bit one - is this a correct interpretation? Yes sort of..... although I'm not sure the external socket runs at full sixteen bit. I may be wrong. Say I later bought an A3010, would I be able to use the A3000 unit...

Re: IDE podules - 8 and 16 bit versions

With the very kind help of John Kortink, I have a small number of IDE podules available. (5 of each type) They both have 40 Pin 0.1" pitch connectors, so if you want to plug in a CF to IDE adapter you'll need to find one with a 40-pin header, or combine it with a suitable adapter. The instructions ...
