Re: Electron Plus 3, some questions.
You might have a poorly +3 then, i can power my electrons (got two) with +3 and +1 connected using the original 19v psu, its got a slight delay when switching on vs nothing connected and instant beep but other than that it seems to run perfect and ive spent many hours soak testing it too. Not saying...

Re: Worth Taking a Look At
Its a disk drive interface for the plus 1/rombox that fits on the back of an elk. Surprised hes asking 70 quid for it if he doesnt know what its for or does or even works which it probably wont seeing as he cant find the power lead for the computer (that old chesnut)
Re: LOLPRICE
Is it worth much that? Cos i've got the same record somewhere Exactly the same? There's more to it than which piece of music is on the record. Like anything it's about rarity so if you have a copy where there's a mistake on the label where only a few leaked out before it was corrected then that's m...

Re: The Towering Inferno typein listing for BBC Micro
Ok here is the finished game, ocr'd/corrected by me and insanely bug tested/corrected by Lee. You will need beebem v4.03 from http://www.mkw.me.uk/beebem/ to run this properly as it has the acorn speech system implemented and due to licensing issues its missing from the latest version. Otherwise jus...

Re: Fitting slogger turbo driver
Right, got the board finished and all installed exactly the same as the other machine following Daniel's great instructions annnnnnnnnnnnd It's exactly the same as the other one, works fine with the pal and only works at normal speed with the switch the opposite way otherwise it just hangs. Re: Fitting slogger turbo driver
Still getting no joy with this, i've bought myself a tl866a programmer now and even a tl866II plus as well and still same results With the switch in the turbo position (with the pal in) the elk works as normal with the gal in, switched the other way the machine hangs. So it can only be one of three ...

Re: Fitting slogger turbo driver
As Ken says he's sent me 2 GAL's twice... The FIRST pair, when the switch is in the turbo position with the PAL in, with the GAL in the machine just runs as if the turbo wasn't even there. When the switch is in the normal position with the PAL in, with the GAL in the machine just hangs ctrl+break do...

Re: Electron Plus 3, some questions.
They had to be taking the p155 when they did that surely, what good will that do? The entire case is plastic
not only that the original psu inside the elk, which is right next to the drive, isn't in use when the plus 3 is attached either, that some strange wtf'ness right there.

Re: Electron Plus 3, some questions.
As an alternative you can hack a modern double sided drive to replace the single side drive and make it fit blue peter style I just run it from the 19v original psu and its been fine in all the years ive had it although sometimes have to ctrl/break it when i first turn it on 34454243_101575520231672...
