That photo is mine.... I hooked up a VELA to a pH meter and a Beeb to track the progress of a titration, running a strong acid into a strong alkali. https://www.retro-kit.co.uk/user/custom/Acorn/Education/TitrationGraph.gif As my Chemistry teacher at the time said in a rather amazed tone... Chris . . . If you want to lose a pack or two (?) I use them! I could collect at ABUG. Let me know if, and what price. Dave H :D I'm always in need of right angled headers so if you really do have some spare I could use a pack or two too... I can't pick up but I'm happy to pay for them and postage ...

I actually have that PAL in a reasonably easy to find spot. I spotted it when I was preparing for ABUG so I've seen it in the last month.

If someone wants to read it, I can dig it out and send it.

Re: Midi to Ample Converter

I've not come across one and what's most irritating is that whilst the Music 2000 has a MIDI IN, it doesn't do much and you can't use it to control the Music 5000 from a MIDI keyboard or record the MIDI playback using the Beeb :-(.

I bought a cheap gun that came with a selection of rivets and picked the rivet that most closely matched the originals. My rivet gun looks like the one in the video linked above.

It's really, really easy to do and this was my first attempt at using a rivet gun too.

DON'T plug it in. It may be an anticlimax seeing as it's been off for over a month... Get a long flat bladed screwdriver with a metal shaft, but fully insulated handle. Attach a wire from the shaft of the screwdriver to the metal chassis of the CRT tube. Put one hand in your rear pocket, don't lean...

The if evaluation took me a couple of reads as you have equality and assignation in the statement so on first read, it looks like you've missed a couple of = symbols out accidentally but they're actually correct as they are. For clarity, it may be worth doing the assignation before the if rather tha...

For someone to sponsor a bounty of that size would mean that you'd have to have some sort of viable business model to give you a sizeable ROI that was critical for that bounty to be completed AND be something only RISC OS could do. I can't think of any situation that would make that a long term via...

Re: RISC OS relicensed: now under Apache 2.0!

The only necessity for the DDE is if you want to rebuild the whole ROM. If you really want to develop one of the OS modules, most of them are compilable for softloading, and this is (at least theoretically) possible with GCC. Theoretically? OK. I've previously developed a soft loadable module for R...
