Fuze issue a tribute to the bbc micro

Fuze who make a rather nice Raspberry Pi case and teaching system have issued a bbc micro lookalike as part of their new range. I've got one of the Fuze one series. It's a great system to train kids and adults on. I use it at work with my apprentices and school kids on work experience. http://www.fu...

Found some EPROM eraser tubes around 265nm maybe there are some out there in the range that suits retrobrite.
I'm trying to find a spec on the led torches as well.

Re: Arc re-spray

I use uv led torches at work for weld inspection I wonder if anyone out there has tried one of these with retrobrite. They have a fairly powerfull output and safety specs need to be worn. There are also the disco type uv fluorescent tubes it may be that a retrobrite box could be made up with a few o...

Re: OS version affects RGB output?

I bought a master with triple os on eBay it has a flash drive on board which runs off the master modem connection. The chap who sold it to me is I think called Michael and is known on these boards. I had the exact same problem using an 8200 but my old master was perfect. I returned the master to him...

I've gone and put an incorrect monitor setting in a risc pc running 4.39.
I am informed that running !Resetboot from the hard drive utilities folder will fix things but Its not on the machine. Is there another way or has someone got a version of resetboot for 4.39.

Wow! this is the second one I've seen on the same fpga. I posted this link up several months ago http://mikestirling.co.uk/bbc-micro-on-an-fpga/ He has done something similar with the bbc micro and the spectrum, and a bit of googling shows this fpga masquerading as an Amiga!!!! As the Fpga is about ...

Re: Beebem on the Raspberry pi (It is too slow)

Maybe when Riscos is properly implemented Beebit may be the one to go for.
I was playing 'eye of the beholder' in dosbox on the 'Pi' in Debian and it was perfectly playable. So I would say that bodes well for the future.

Re: LCD TVs and monitors for use with BBCs

You may notice that in the pictures that have a black background, you can see random white dots. This is noise produced by the GBS-8200 converter board and is annoying. It is less noticeable when used with an Atari ST as most of the time a light colour picture is displayed. This is how mine was on ...

Re: LCD TVs and monitors for use with BBCs

All that aside, the quality of the picture looks fab, although is it any better than just a plain SCART ?

well went back to scart and there's that 50 hertz thing... but no sign of it with this. Also it looks to me as if it will fit inside the beeb.

can't actually see the dust on the screen from here, but that was the only way I could give an idea of the crispness of the characters, the camera refused to focus on the characters but loved the dust. (A photographic genius is Born !!)

Re: LCD TVs and monitors for use with BBCs

I'll see if I can open up the plugs to see how its wired. This came from CJE in a black box for an enormous price. The picture was also terrible so I opened the box to find said GBS 8200 inside and lo it had menu buttons on it and a bit of playing with the settings fixed It ! I then looked on ebay t...
