Yup - the connector is away from the PSU - you've had it in backwards I'm afraid :( It's highly possible you've toasted the CPLD in the beebscsi :(

d.
Yep - that was a dumb user error - dead as a dodo :(
Luckily the BeebSCSI is ok.

Re: BeebSCSI VFS Adapter issue

Sorry, scratch that - are you sure you have it the right way around? Was it one I made? d. Hi Daniel - Thanks for replying. I think it is one you made (it has #17 in silver hand written on the back). In terms of Orientation - the top of the card with the chip/cable is facing west (Towards the Power...

BeebSCSI VFS Adapter issue

Hi all, I finally got around to testing the BeebSCSI VFS Adapter (internal Master interface card) for BeebSCSI today - I've had it for 2 years but never got time to try it out but lockdown's given me a bit of time. So to the issue; inserting the card causes the Master to continuously beep, with or w...

I'd love a couple of ASCII keyboard PCBs as well, so if trev is doing another run (and will make it more cost effective), I'll go for some.
I’ve PM’ed him - fingers crossed

Re: System 2/3/5 Keyboard Progress

Hi Ade, I have @trev-ham's keyboard PCBs which output ASCII as required by the System 2/3/5 CPU Card. For the ASCII <-> USB conversion I designed a board -- basically I wanted to test my keyboard as soon as I built it. I'll put the files on GitHub and add a link here when done. Great work Andy :D

I'm in the process of building Trev Ham's boards too (in NZ). Do you mind me asking where you got the keyboard interface cards you have used, or are they your own design?

Cheers

Also makes it the earliest US Beeb serial number (UNB09) recorded (congrats Lion) - I've updated the list.

Got this machine this week...

Issue 2
Serial: 000338

I have another 3 very similar but they missing serials on the outside. Will open them up and have a look to see if they have internal numbers.

Looks like it has been stored somewhere damp, looking at the cassette, RGB, composite video and Modulator connectors on the side.

Acorn Winchester Disc 110 - Drive replacement

Hi Guys, Does anyone know if an MFM Seagate ST 251-1 would be compatible with Acorn Winchester Disc 110 hardware? I've managed to obtain a working drive - before I start fumbling around thought I'd ask (unusual for me) - :D Drive is one of these... www.ataripc.net/wp-content/uploads/Seagate-ST251-Pr...

BeebSCSI Harddrive Images?

Hi All,

Does anyone have a working Panos BeebSCSI Disk/LUN Image they could share with the group?
For that matter - If anyone wants to share any of their disk images - that would be really great (I'll post something soon here).

Ps. Loving BeebSCSI - Amazing work!

Re: BBC/Master Power Supply Adjustment

Yesterday I checked another 2 machines and both were also showing around 6v - so being a little suspicious I splashed out on a new Multimeter - and lo and behold, all the machines are reading around 5v on the new meter. Lesson learned, don't always trust old equipment to fix old equipment A.
