If there is still a half-table available, please can I take it.

Also, if it is not too late, please can I be added to the restaurant booking for the Friday night.

Re: Acorn World and ABUG meetup, Cambridge 20-22nd September 2019.

Given you're not arriving til 4pm sat and no kit, I think the most straightforward thing to do is to simply "book you in " as sunday no kitters. We'll be more spread out and not all in the classroom at once from 6pm on the saturday evening . I'll update the top post. Thanks. Well, please can I book ...

Re: Acorn World and ABUG meetup, Cambridge 20-22nd September 2019.

Hi, At this point there is one half table free across the weekend - which is room for just one person. I'm afraid all other spots, including "no-kitters" are full. Edit - actually there are no-kitter spaces available sunday only. So you could pop in as described below on the sat.. and have "no kitte...

Re: MMC hard drive emulation?

Hi Dave, thanks for the swift reply. I've tried writing the 314mb dat file to sd card with win32diskimager and followed the commands you listed. After the Ctrl-Break step it comes up "NoMBR!" on the top left of the screen followed by "*". I'm guessing this is because the ADFS image file isn't in the...

Hi , I have a couple of questions for hoglet.. I have an old version of MMFS ROM from 2016 alongside a ROM labelled "SD2". I don't know the exact version. It is patched so that the sd card can be attached to the internal "modem socket" on a Master. At the time, I had it to run in tandem with a Match...

Yes Stardot logo and avatar name will be there. ..so Roland, sorry but can you remove surnames from the tags please? I know you went to the effort of getting all the surnames etc but we hadn't considered the privacy aspect. I think a “preferred” name is enough. By this, I mean the name that someone ...

At the risk of contradicting myself creating more work for Roland (the surname thing came about at my suggestion I think) .. would it be easier if we just didn't have surnames on the tags? As you already (might) know, we're issuing name tags for everyone.. if anyone DOESN'T want their surname printe...

crude Beeb PSU question

Hi, For one of the exhibits at Acorn World (the Valiant turtle) , I'm using one of the museum's BBC Bs. It was tested as "working" so I took it home. It fired up ..but after 10 minutes I got the famous magic smoke. I'm trying to save some time (to focus on the Turtle rather than the Beeb). I don't h...

Regarding archiving: - The museum do have a pc or two with scanners in the "attic" they use for archiving. But it's a bit messy up there and I think they'd be reluctant to have us up there in any numbers. Even if one of us went up there .. if it's a warm day, it can get very hot up there, and furthe...
