Re: ABUG SOUTH 24 to 26 January 2020 (Hampshire) BOOKING THREAD

It was only a couple of years ago that there were lots of requests on here for some ABUGs in the south because they were all up north!

As JudgeBeeb said, it just needs someone to find a venue and organise it. (personal request, try to make it near a station!)

Looks like im going to have to buy a pc to do that then, which I havent done before on principle before as im chained to one most days!
A Raspberry Pi would do the job. You could even run RISC OS on it to keep the Acorn vibe going :-)

Found this excellent Mandelbrot running demo program in my collection and couldn't see it online anywhere. Thanks to DanielJ for archiving it at ABUG tonight. FS: BBC Master 128

I have a BBC Master 128 for sale. It is a standard machine with no upgrades installed and with only light usage. It has had a dust cover on it all the time so is in good clean condition. Caps have NOT been replaced (but it hasn't gone pop yet while I've been testing it!). IMG_20191113_025201.jpg Col...

Thanks,

Old EPROM programmers/testers

I've been sent an email about some old EPROM programmers/testers that someone is bringing along to the London Show for the charity stand. As this looks like quite niche stuff I thought I'd mention it here. If anyone wants it who can't make it to the show, we (well, Flibble!) could grab it and bring ...

There is a StrongHelp manual for using the GPIO module. I think it (module and help file) is in the standard RO Pi disc image, but if not get it from here - http://www.tankstage.co.uk/Software/ There are several threads over on the ROOL forum about using GPIO, e.g: https://www.riscosopen.org/forum/f...

Re: Formatting SD/CF cards for use on RISC OS 3.1

What options did you select when using HForm 2.71? It will probably default to using new format with long filenames, which RO3.1 won't understand. I've never tried but I would expect that if you pick old format, old directories, short filenames, then even the latest HForm should produce something re...
