Damn, I was still playing both games when the time ran out! My final scores were 6600 and 72600, which would probably have been enough to win the cup

The recording of Gerph's excellent talk is now available:

I highly recommend it to anyone at all interested in testing/development processes. He's done some amazing stuff!

Mine arrived at midday
Really well packaged, no chance of couriers denting the corners, so it still looks beautiful

Re: Connect to MacOS share
RISC OS only does SMBv1, which is turned off by default on Windows and probably not supported at all on the Mac!
When I helped a friend do transfers to his Mac I used SunFish on RO, which is an NFS client, and that worked fine. There is also MoonFish for an NFS server on RO, but I haven't tried that.

BeebIt is the best Beeb emulator on RISC OS - https://mjfoot.netlify.app/bbc.htm
It runs at full speed even on a Pi1 IIRC, so no problem on a Pi4.

Re: Backup/Imager required for RISCOS 6.x due to Screeching Hard Drive
20 years of using !SparkFS to just create massive archives has worked for me without issue. For this sort of large zipping, using InfoZip will be much faster than SparkFS because the latter is trying to maintain the archive as an active filesystem while building it, resulting in a lot of extra read...

I will probably drop in on this one. philpem has kindly agreed to give a talk at next week's RISC OS London Show about archiving, so it's probably a good idea for me to get a bit better informed!

Re: (re) Installing RISCOS 4.02
How are you writing the CD on Windows - which software and what options? If you've just drag and dropped onto the CD then I think Windows writes in packet format (kind of a FAT filesystem on CD), which RISC OS can't read. You need to write it in ISO9660 format, in one session, and closed. (sorry, lo...
