Re: RPCEmu 0.9.0 and Macs - beta testers wanted

Do you have a roadmap anywhere? See Mathew's slides from this ROUGOL presentation - http://rougol.jellybaby.net/meetings/2018/jun.html why not just have it all in the same folder as the emulator and allow the user to simply drag that folder from the DMG to wherever they wish to install it? Sure, it...

Re: London Show / Saturday 27th October 2018

Right, just over two weeks to go (eek!), anyone else want to a stand? We will be finalising the stand layout at the next ROUGOL meeting ( Acorns in Aerospace , Monday 15th October - come along!) so you have a few days left to grab one. I think we currently have: tricky - loadsa games :-) RobC - Vide...

Is it going to be recorded/transcribed?
Not sure yet. I've asked Paul Emerton (Keith's son) as he runs a video production company, so would be the obvious person to do a good job recording it!

Re: London Show / Saturday 27th October 2018

A bit of a long shot, but is anyone able to bring along a Domesday system, as I don't think we've ever had one at the London Show? Or maybe one of the "emulated" versions that use a PC pretending to be the laser disc player? Impressive bit of digital preservation!

Thanks,
Bryan.

I'd like a stall please - happy to share again like last year or have one to myself... Excellent. I've put you on the show exhibitors list under VideoNuLA, let me know if there's anything you want changed in the description. That's not far from Oxford so I will come along definitely as a visitor. Re: Do we need more ABug meets? If so, where should they be?

It just takes someone to organise it. Preferably who lives in that part of the country. I am sure Bristol would be quite a good one, plenty of people around there. The SW Show is moving to a new venue next year, The Arnos Manor Hotel, which is closer to the centre of Bristol. From my brief visit th...

Re: Proud new owner of A3020 but with a rough start

The RiscOS desktop applications seem very familiar to the MacOS ones. The other way round of course, as RISC OS did it years earlier :D Rather than using SparkPlug, you might want to try the read-only version of SparkFS from here - https://www.riscosopen.org/content/downloads/common It turns archiv...

I have only just realised that we are part of "Acorn World" again :) http://www.computinghistory.org.uk/det/43277/Acorn-World-Exhibition-8th-9th-September-2018/ Does that mean they will have extra exhibits out in the main hall again? Forgot to say that the slides from the meeting are on the website - http://rougol.jellybaby.net/meetings/2018/jun.html ...although they don't have a lot of detail! Now that the move to Qt has been done, it means they don't have to develop two user interfaces (Window/Linux) for everything. I guess th...

Do you have any plans to buy a real Acorn machine, or are you enjoying emulation? I think I'll stick with emulation for now, thanks. b-em works quite well, and I have so many Raspberry Pis around the place that emulation just seems to happen. I hope you have RISC OS (Pico or full blown) on at least...

I'll be there for all three days, but won't need much space, probably spend most of the time marvelling at what everyone else has been up to!
