If your program is just counting flybacks, it should be accurate.

Re: Elite BeebAsm Source

Kees, do you still have the disassembly of the Electron version that you started with? I've been trying to create my own but using your version would save me some time. I know it's not that hard to do, but my rate of progress is 100x slower than yours! I have but it's not so documented as the Atom ...

Hi Peter, It certainly is interesting to know what's on the tapes, maybe some MIA titles for the Acorn Atom Archive ..... The Archive has almost 800 titles now, all can run from the menu. Re: new to atom: ram rom mmc joystick

Normally the AtoMMC is suppled with a flatcable between PL4 and the AtoMMC interface. Another flatcable is used to connect the AtoMMC interface with the SD board which hangs outside the Atom. Wim did solder a female connector to the AtoMMC board to install the AtoMMC interface directly on PL4. The c...

Re: Acorn Atom and AtoMMC

Hello RTB, in a standard Atom, the AtoMMC board is addressed at the I/O area #B40x and the AtoMMC ROM at #Axxx or #Exxx. The BBC board shuffles the addresses and the I/O area is moved to #7xxx which does not match with the AtoMMC board. The MMCROM is an EXTENSION ROM addressed at #Axxx or #Exxx in a...

Re: new to atom: ram rom mmc joystick

I set all bits to input Can you configure a couple of pins as outputs? So you you could use two outputs as column outputs and have a 2x6 matrix of switches for up/down/left/right/fire1/fire2 for 2 players. Probably need some diodes to avoid gosting effects. Nice idea to create a matrix ..... =D> Ye...

Re: new to atom: ram rom mmc joystick

For the Atom, there are only a few 2 player games and there is a Dutch User Group 2 joystick solution. Solder the joystick wires parallel to the top 2 rows of the keyboard matrix. Maybe a second button could be added but I don't know if there's any need for more buttons. Didn't know you had an Atom ...

Re: Acorn Atom newbie / Playing UEFs

The link in your post is the most accurate one for UEF files. There isn't really an UEF archive and one of the reasons is that UEF conversion does not always work well. I have experienced this myself with my Atom conversions on RetroSoftware. I think CMcDougall has the biggest UEF archive. You can a...
