HAHA!

You're probably right, Yrrah2 (where did you get your handle from. by the way?!)
In the 80's you had a cartoonist in the papers with very good political drawings. His name was Harry and signed his drawings with Yrrah.
Nice beeb collection and in good shape as well.

Re: Hi from 'Ull, East Yorks

PS. Yrrah2 - I do have some Beeb disks too - I will upload some pics of the rest of my Beeb software library later - these originals are lovely to have but they do take up a lot of space, don't they? Especially when you also collect Oric, Atari, ZX81, Speccy and Amstrad tapes and bits too - I am in...

Re: Spéech with the Quill and using Star commands Option p in menu

So what if I'm correct, you make the messages you want to speak with *SAY are placed in the machine code memory. I don't know what Rfairman wants, but would it me neater that you can *SAY a message from the messages from Quill? So that you give in Quill the JSR (if I'm correct) command for the machi...

Re: Spéech with the Quill and using Star commands Option p in menu

[EDITED]
Thought you could switch colours? Not quite sure.
Try the Speech Rom. Then you don't have to worry about the memory.

Speech!-1.03.rom
(8 KiB) Downloaded 9 times

You have to change the !BOOT file bit :

Code: Select all

*BASIC
*SPEECH
*SAY LOADING
*RUN RUNME2

Re: Spéech with the Quill and using Star commands Option p in menu

It has been a long while since I was busy with Quill. But I think it should be possible. You have to create a message number with the command you would like to use. So you use the STAR command within quill and then de message number. And this message number should be (I think) 'SAY hello' The manual...

Is it easy to dump a rom like that?
Or is the same Eprom programmer needed?

Re: Wapping Editor printer driver

That looks like an early version, what shows up when you use *HELP? Then I see I have version 1.01. So that explains a lot. Yes, you need to update your EPROM to 1.30 Here's a copy of the ROM: Wapping Editor 64K 1.30.zip Thanks for the ROM file. Only I think I need an eprom programmer for that. Whi...

Re: Wapping Editor printer driver

Hmmm, I'm getting the impression that Wapping Editor doesn't see the supporting rom after all. So no extra menu when printing, and no extra functions in font editor or typeset...

Wapping Editor printer driver

Hi, Today I was playing with Wapping Editor. All seems fine, and works great. But the printerdriver delivered with the Editor doesn't work well with my Epson LQ300. Re: New game for the BBC Master : Planet Nubium

Sorry to hear that the game music does not work on BeebEm 4.0a (mac). The music works on the target system of the game, which is a BBC Master. I would call this an issue with the BeebEm emulator.
Yep is indeed an BeebEm thing.
Played it on my Master. Really nice!

Re: New game for the BBC Master : Planet Nubium

Just dropped in today to see the game.
Nice!! =D> =D> =D>
Also downloaded the different versions to see what is changed.
Never thought of a progress bar while loading on a Beeb. 8)

On BeebEm 4.0a (mac) the music goes mad.
Didn't try the game yet on my master.
