Re: Running AMX PageMaker Plus without Floppy Drive

Sorry to jump in on this thread but does anybody have a Pagemaker work disk (SSD) with some DTP documents on they are willing to share. I want to add extraction to BMP so you can view/print them on a modern PC? On one of the StopPres SSD's is a demo page. Not on the system disc, but on the utilitie...

Re: AMX Mouse Software

You can make SSD discs with DFS explorer. https://www.g7jjf.com/dfs_explorer.htm

Re: AMX Mouse Software

The system disc is the XAM disc, but it's failing a check on the disc title. If you re-title the disc with 4 characters before the AMX XAM it works, e.g. *TITLE "----AMX XAM" That seems to work! :D But when starting the quiz it keeps spinning the drive like it's loading, but after 10 minuts I abort...

Re: AMX Mouse Software

But when I started the XAM ssd disc it asks for the system disc. Which one is that? I presume it's the ssd, but the code will be looking for something that's not there :? I only copied the files to check that it didn't "boot rubbish on the screen" I've not been able to test it further due to not ha...

Re: AMX Mouse Software

Seems the XAM is specially for the Mouse Support ROM 2.1 and BBC B.
Master doesn't run well, well only the startup screen.
But when I started the XAM ssd disc it asks for the system disc.
Which one is that?

Thanks for the compliment. And that symbol is if it is Tube compatible. Took that symbol idea from BeeBug  The protection is (if I understand it right) sector order based? or is it some extra protection? If it is only sector based, then Retro Clinic "RCOPY (from his RAM/ROM system) would do, I...

Re: AMX Mouse Software

On a 1986 AMX advert I have found it lists a disc called AMX Mind Games. Has anyone used this? Do you have a scan/picture of the advert? Never seen this mentioned. I believe I may have a copy of XAM. Don’t know if they’re readible. If you have a way to dump the disc, would be great! Or can I borrow...

Re: Prince of Persia

Found a little bug, using OS 3.5. Could be a general bug of the game, but didn't experience this before. In level 2 I got killed by the 3rd guard and fell at the same time in some spears. (killed 2 times in one go.....) And now the game does not give an end tune and hangs. Only CTRL+A brought me bac...

Re: Prince of Persia

Works perfect in 3.5! =D> =D>
And I discovered that it also works fine (and fast) in Retroclinic's DiskTrap mode. (an SSD loaded in RAM and the DiskTrap method fools the OS as if the RAM is an actual Disc. (or something like that))

Re: Frontier Elite II - BBC and Pi Native ARM CoPro

I've improved the performance of the arm7tdmi build a little, I changed the interpolation code for rendering triangles from using floating point to fixed point, it doesn't make a lot of difference to the overall performance, but since the 3D rendering is the largest part and the triangle rasteriser...

Re: Doom?

The darkness is probably because you are using the 8 colour version? Do doom -fourcol for the four colour dithered version or doom -nula for the VideoNuLA version. You can also do -palette with the four colour version to specify the four physical colours used e.g. -palette 0147 for black, red, blue...

Escape is definitely the options menu. I don't know why it closes immediately, I'm going to look at clearing the escape key on screen flip to see if that helps.

Re: Frontier Elite II - BBC and Pi Native ARM CoPro

As far as I know, there wasn't an options menu.
You had the function keys that made the images on the bottom of the screen change, and gave the other function keys other functions again. #-o #-o
And some function keys would give you options during flight, like calling for help or something.

What sort of hard drive do you have? I think I still have a dump from my DC on Dropbox or there's an SD card version on here somewhere.
I have the DataCentre from retroclinic with flashcards as HD. So 4 internal HD at ADFS format.
