Does pressing BREAK after mounting the disk image help at all?

(You need to do this on a real Atom)
Makes no difference sadly

Re: Atom and FPGA based retro-computers

Carried that out step by step but end result is the same i'm afraid.. "Not Ready"

I placed the file in fat/Games/AcornAtom/boot.vhd on my main SD
and then selected it from the menu

Re: Atom and FPGA based retro-computers

The Not Ready error from AtoMMC occurs when the AtoMMC Firmware (running on the embedded AVR/PIC microcontroller) has been unable to initialize the SD Card. I'm not sure how this works in Mister, but in a real AtoMMC this usually occurs if there is a fault in the SD Card interface, or the SD Card i...

Re: Atom and FPGA based retro-computers

Thanks Dave I uploaded the file renamed as boot.vhd firstly as is with no files added. Still getting the Not ready error when trying to *CAT it Used WinImage to inject the Atom Software archive but still getting Not ready error I'm assuming with the new release that the VHD file goes into fat/games/...

Re: Atom and FPGA based retro-computers

I have the latest core downloaded to my MiSTer FPGA system, created the AcornAtom folder in the Games directory and proceeded to create a boot.vhd file containing the archive but for the life of me cant get it to run. keep getting the Not Ready error.. Does anyone have a compiled vhd ready or can he...

Re: Fitting a Solidisk 256Kb 2/4Meg board

I've got one of these fitted to an Issue 4 board and with the 4MHz feed soldered to a different source works very stable. Shadow RAM works fine too and the TESTRAM command tells me all is good. But for the life of me I cant load any Rom images to a sideways Ram bank whatever method I use.. The onboa...

Re: Pegasus 400 Disc Interface Electron

Well All Via's are good, all tracks confirm good. Cant find any shorts. What I can confirm though is that the 2nd ROM socket, controlled by the right jumper block does not allow the SRAM to be mapped inplace of part of the Pegasus DFS ROM, so although fitting just the DFS ROM in the 2nd socket I can...

Re: Pegasus 400 Disc Interface Electron

I will check the vias out today Dave... Just confused as to why the ADFS ROM stops the DFS ROM being seen when its plugged in. Removing the ADFS ROM sows DFS in slot zero Plugging in ADFS its seen in slot 1 but slot zero is now empty. All disc functions work perfectly when either rom is active.... Doh

Re: Pegasus 400 Disc Interface Electron

Started looking into this this morning chaps and found some funny results lol The board is configured as follows 28 Pin Sockets L-R are PEGDFS , ADFS, 6264SRAM, 1772 Jumpers L-R are D, U,U,D Which seems great.... Plug board in and ADFS works absolutely fine... DFS Rom is not even recognised by *ROMS...

Re: Pegasus 400 Disc Interface Electron

Hi everyone Thank you so much for the support... finally saw the link for the schematic lol I built 2 boards, one works perfectly ADFS and DFS the other has this ADFS issue, jumpers set the same on both boards. Pretty sure I have a trace or via issue but thanks to the schematic should be able to fix...

Pegasus 400 Disc Interface Electron

Hi Guys

Would anyone have the schematic for the Acorn Electron Pegasus Disc Interface Please..

I've got one here working perfectly with DFS but fails to Recognise any ADFS ROM.

Cheers

Indeed, I supply SmallyMouse2 with all Interface headers installed as standard so you can share the unit between 8bit and 32bit Acorns, just need to have both interface cables. I have a new batch ready to ship, drop us a PM if you would like one with cables. Rega...
