Re: Locks of Luck by Magus

Um, just as an aside to this thread, I think that perhaps this disc: http://www.everygamegoing.com/egg/landingItem/index/machine_type_group_default_folder/bbc_b/publisher_folder/magus/format_folder/5_25_discs/item_title/Magus-Nursery-Crhymes/ is the one mentioned in the article with the hintsheets, ...

Re: Electron User Group Games

As the person who ran the EUG magazine, I can categorically confirm that these games were not published anywhere else. :-)

They were sent to me on discs as soon as they were written and I copied them to the magazine and so they were "released" when each magazine came out

Polar Perils Cover Scan

I was just wondering something... Squirrel produced a number of games for the BBC/Electron. Super Golf seems to come up quite regularly so I guess they sold lots of these. Bun Fun I've never seen for sale, although Dave M had a single copy of it which I acquired a few years ago. Trafalgar I've seen ...

Re: Personal Computer News. Missing Games.

Ah, that explains why people stopped buying the PCN DVD I was selling... ;-) These are clearly "my" scans - even the 'SAM' that was written in biro on the front page of some issues is intact in the PDF versions. Guess someone bought the DVDs and then chose to upload them despite my saying please don...

Everygamegoing Now Running At Supersonic Speeds

Hi everyone, So... over the last 3 months I have completely rewritten the Everygamegoing back-end. It's now written in the Yii framework and it runs fast. Seriously fast in fact. One of the big problems it's had since I launched it two years ago was the speed of execution, mainly because I adapted i...

I'll see if I can transfer the BBC version and then upload it here.

MIA: Polar Perils by Squirrel (Electron) - HELP ALSO NEEDED

I got hold of an Electron version of Polar Perils by Squirrel. Curiously it's just the tape with no inlay, which was the same as Moneywise by the same company which I picked up a year ago by the same company. I know Squirrel's other releases - Trafalgar, Bun Fun, Super Golf and TV Director - had inl...

Re: Uggies Garden - Superior /Acornsoft -Tape Original

Ah, I may be able to explain this... So, back in the day when I was collecting Acorn Electron stuff, and there was no real internet, and EUG was a post-only magazine that I would duplicate and send by snail mail blah blah... I got the unreleased tape of Uggie's Garden and I thought hey up this looks...

Master Compact Cover Scans

As you'll be aware I'm running a big site called Everygamegoing, over at everygamegoing.com. I never had a Master Compact back in the day, although I'm aware that there were quite a lot of professionally-released games for it. Does anyone have any cover scans of these? The only ones I have are here:...

Ah, well. If I find the original Touchdown disc next time I'm at my parents, I'll send it on to you and maybe you'll be able to recover it.

"Working Football" 3.5" Disc

This is really a long shot... A long time ago, I collected a software lot from a guy. Amongst the 3.5" ADFS floppies (mostly the usual T2P3 compilations of games!) was a game called Touchdown. This was advertised in the back pages of Electron User and is one of the few Elk games that hasn't yet been...

The Elk version is available though, so it's not *too* traumatizing. The BBC version is likely exactly the same except runs in Mode 7!

Colour Genie World - From Acorn Electron World

I've been hard at work writing software that will remove subsets of data from my Everygamegoing site and create sites/DVDs like Acorn Electron World. I'm now proud to present the first of these... http://www.colourgenieworld.com/ I don't know how many of you are even aware of this machine but I've s...
