Re: tape inlay instructions wanted.

Actually, on checking the EGG archive, What's Eeyores, the Electron version, is actually missing. Not sure if you have an Electron version in the box with the inlay, or if it's BBC only, but maybe you could have a look and if there's an Elk version on the tape see if it makes it to UEF format?

Re: tape inlay instructions wanted.

Wow! Never saw these before in all my years of collecting.

Are you interested to sell the originals? I would like to buy them if so.

Re: Most Loathed Acorn Electron Games...

Yeah, why doesn't someone pull it apart and fix it? If it worked like the BBC version (which I've just re-acquainted myself with) there's a game in there actually.

The disc version states BBC/Electron but it's BBC only really. There are very very few Electron discs.

It's the *Electron* version of Summer Olympiad that is needed on disc. :-)

Re: Most Loathed Acorn Electron Games...

Just an "interesting" thing about Ian Botham. I read that interview with the coders back in the day that reported it was impossible to hit the ball and I was, like, nope, that's definitely not true. When I was a young lad, I had Ian Botham and I tried to play it. My grandma was in the room and she k...

The market values are based on a mathematical formula which tries to assess how much a certain item is "worth" (otherwise I'd be forever amending them). It usually does a pretty accurate job.

I have to say I'm not surprised to see Tarzan at number one. Interesting that Kansas' Munchman hasn't made it though; I guess hardly anyone played it and so hardly anyone hated it.

I've got Fantasia Diamond but the second file is full of protection/continuous data stream. So probably like Birdstrike and The Hacker, it's nigh on impossible to create a uef from it.

Gnasher Superior

Hello, I'm not sure why but recently I started checking off what games for the BBC are available on what formats. Gnasher by Superior (quite a rare game incidentally) is available on disc but AFAIK there's no tape .uef file of it available. I tried to make my own .uef of it by just loading the disc ...

Re: Stryker's Run

Sorry if the original post wasn't clear. No, I already have my own copy of it. The tape is available to download from StH but the disc isn't. So I just wanted an upload of the disc which Bill Carr has provided. Cool. I'll add it to Everygamegoing so it's available for everyone too.

Just a software request. Does anyone have a 5.25" DISC version of the Master-enhanced version of Stryker's Run?

I've fixed the header so that the search bar always appears.

The Advanced Search and lack of tab key on a phone I'd never really considered so I'll have to add that to my list of things to fix.

Y'all might like this new view: https://www.everygamegoing.com/egg/landingGame/index/item_title/Exile/paarent_id/12233/ All the different machines any game was released on can now be generated for anything by just searching for a game then clicking to view its landing page and then clicking its name.

One Last Game does the same thing. Written by the same person...! Different piece of music though. :-)

I never heard that effect in any other Electron game though.

From memory, you have to press M to stop the music before setting the options. There are full instructions on the Everygamegoing site:

Re: To Hell In A Hamper (2006) — an old new game

I need to investigate how to fix that... It's the same for all books on the site. It times out before the book completes downloading. There must be a simple fix for this because I've downloaded huge files through the browser on other sites.

There was also an ASP mag called Electronics Today that had a number of projects for the Elk in it. I had scanned that too but that's also dropped off the new version of the AEW site. I'll add that to everygamegoing.com as well.

Re: To Hell In A Hamper (2003) — an old new game

Oooh, now you're asking. If I remember correctly, I had the solution and I wrote the whole thing first by following it through. Then I was able to get a list of all the messages in the game and the variables that were set for them to appear, so then I just put them in. Obviously there was *so* much ...
