Re: Effective use of a 5.25” floppy disc cleaning disc

There's a program called Cumana Disk Aligner (on the BBC Lives website IIRC) which I used to use in conjunction with head cleaning discs. It allows you to step the head across all tracks and also 'flex' the head back and forth between Track 0 and Track 40/80. Edit: here's the link - http://archive.r...

Re: STH archive not working?

Hi, this has happened before (where php upgrades have broken the indexer scripts, which were written many years ago!). If any php wizards can identify anything in the attached /render.php and reclist/reclister scripts that may be causing the problem, please let me know. If FTP access is needed, agai...

Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s

Ah sorry you're right, the corrections I posted were from Issue 2.

Have just checked Issues 3 and 5 have no Labyrinth corrections featured. Issue 4 has five corrections which I believe you're aware of.

Nothing in issues 5-8 either.

Okay, now that most have had their say,... I’m sure that this has indeed come up in the past. I think that as well as the idea of having a fund to help to buy rare/hard to get original software, the idea was also floated to assist in new developments (both hardware and software), and that one possi...

Re: Pegasus 400 Label for case

Ah, that label was never designed to fit a Pegasus case - it was originally intended for the 'top' end of the case on a Cumana Disk Interface (as the original 'SEDFS' was a ROM upgrade for the Cumana product, which incidentally was supplied in a much larger case). I've seen a few original Slogger Pe...

Downloading video from BBC website?

Hi, does anyone have any ideas on how to download a video from the BBC website (it's one that's embedded within an article, rather than an iplayer vid). I managed this with ease a couple of years back but it looks as if they've locked it down since then, as I've tried various online tools and third-...
