Re: Pegasus 400 Label for case

Ah, that label was never designed to fit a Pegasus case - it was originally intended for the 'top' end of the case on a Cumana Disk Interface (as the original 'SEDFS' was a ROM upgrade for the Cumana product, which incidentally was supplied in a much larger case). I've seen a few original Slogger Pe...

Re: Downloading video from BBC website?

Thanks all for the advice, I don't have an iphone but I'll give the VLC suggestion a try with another video when I get a chance, for now though I'm all sorted for the Mario vid (cheers Topcat! ;) ).

Downloading video from BBC website?

Hi, does anyone have any ideas on how to download a video from the BBC website (it's one that's embedded within an article, rather than an iplayer vid). I managed this with ease a couple of years back but it looks as if they've locked it down since then, as I've tried various online tools and third-...

Nice, just wrote it to floppy and tried it up here in Glasgow on the Beeb next to the 'Phoenix' beeb (which has proved really popular!)

Re: Trying to locate old game "Caves"

Rather than make a new topic, I might as well add to this one: there was a game which may or may not have been Master-exclusive which involved a bouncing ball from an overhead view. You could control the ball in 8 directions, and it would have to be over a ground tile when it bounced. The ground ti...

Re: Label for the New ABR (in a 3D printed case)

Voted for the colour version (which I think looks really smart!) though I think I'd prefer it if the Retro Hardware logo featured its original blue/white colour scheme.

Also maybe adjust the strapline to 'For the Acorn Electron and BBC Master 128' ?

Thanks for flagging this, good observation. Yes. And the ones that have three, four and five!
Ah sorry for not being clearer - I meant, can you also include the identities of the publishers for games with more than one?

Arcadians suggestion of only including the publisher if there are two games of the same name doesn't stop there being two publishers. Are you able to easily provide a list of all the games that have two publishers? What if, in the case of two publishers, an additional '+' symbol was inserted betwee...

... the TOSEC format does seem quite ungainly and over-detailed to me. I like the simplicity of Title-Publisher-ID.ssd or similar. Agree (I seem to agreeing a lot with Chet tonight! ;) ). I also think that year of release should never EVER be featured within filenames (goodness now I sound like JGH...

Oh, in my mind we would only include the publisher in the filename if there are multiple games with the same title

e.g.
Reversi-Acornsoft
Reversi-Micropower

If the title is unique then no need for the qualifier.

Ref: ReversiComputerConcepts-1165.ssd ReversiBeebug-2966.ssd ReversiAcornsoft-968.ssd I do think filenames would look neater if there was a dash between the title and the publisher if possible e.g. Reversi-Beebug Then as per my example, I'd rather use an underscore to the prefix the disc no rather t...
