Laptop HDiscs are easy! If they are normal not crap Apple. another thing to try John is to take out MMC rom & unplug card from user port, gave me more success.
also use a normal beeb: 8271fdc & dfs1.20, as even one of my 1770fdc beebs gave different results :o

did you try my original v121 from this thread a few weeks ago??

I had a disc that done similar with UPURS5r :shock:
in the end I just copied it to SD card with the MMFS prog DTOM :)

still a weird one though :?

loved the BITD, one of my favs!
so good I completed it a few years ago, 8 levels of needing power ups on every level :o

this game was so good overall, I always thought it was on my old 286PC with EGA graphics board & 10MB hard disc :oops:

with DFS, I had a program from TMU or TAU, it was easy IF a basic deleted prog, just went through the sectors to find start of it (handy if had 'REM bobs prog' at start), save to RAM, then when found the last sector of it, just save all RAM off to another disc (just incase got end wrong) ADFS should...

^think M$oft stopped it after win98 for drives >8gb :x looking through my even older instructions for the £50 usb2 Verbatim 320 drive, they gave you a program : SmartDisk_FAT32_tool , but only works on winXP :D , not win10 :roll: another look about gave me a program for win10, being : guiformat , wo...

just bought another drive, this time only £10 not £50 like 7yrs ago! but, need it to be FAT32, not default exFAT .... tried first on Win10 laptop in USB3 port, for format drive only says either exFAT or NTFS on WinXP desktop in USB2 port, same. the £50 one from 7yr ago was factory formatted already ...
