^ round wrong way 100% does do that to them :(
or a 12.5v eprom being programmed at 21v (not so much 20%, they usually work for me :? )

i've done the upside down eprom before #-o , but I was drunk as a skunk doing four things at once! [-X

got about 50+ spare, so I dont care :D

i had also a black cub, still got the manual, monitor was binned many moons ago due to never coming on 1st time, ie 20x on/offs until it came on :? sure on back it had two inputs, as in 2x 5pin dins, one for beeb & one for spectrum there was also a switch to tell it input from beeb / spectrum... don...

^ well explained, cheers K 8) the HD drives are from games consoles, so have a bizarre format that M$ windows will not look at, hence why they never show up on Win10 until you format /partition them with the DiskMngr. This only allows NTFS, whereas gParted allows multiple types, which is great for F...

copying all the tapes from both my aunties primary schools & mine, so then my surrounding villages also had the same programs!

The days before disc drives /or too expensive 1981/2 for council budgets, but sure it was 1983 they did have one on the trolley for Grannys Garden :D

thanks Si, yes this has been Very usefull the last few weeks, it formats Sata 500GB HD in about 20 seconds :shock:

with USB3 there is a sleep mode on it, so mine also disappears if not used for 1min :roll:

^may be out of date.

I have the MMFS+ version that used the useless printer buffer, so page always stays at &E00. Obviously with DFS226 page jumps to &1900.

If you use older MMFS with dfs will shove page to &1B00

Not got lappy on at mo, so can't confirm which MMFS is in my B+
