Re: PCBs

Very impressive work! The Econet module with integrated clock is particularly interesting... I have never dabbled in Econet myself, partly because it all seems rather expensive once you start adding up the price of Econet modules, clocks, cables and so on. I really like the idea of a build-it-yours...

PCBs

While I'm waiting for the parts to fix my beebs, I thought I'd show off the PCBs i've been playing with :) https://i.imgur.com/TCOwgYy.png EcoPort Issue 1 - slots into the econet header on a master, and gives you a 6522 at &FEA0. On these boards, the 6522's ~IRQ line is connected directly to the...

Re: Today I received.....

A little brother for my Beebs. Given my current luck with power supplies, I'm sure this will die as soon as I find a 19V power brick to test it with. :(

Re: Today I received.....

The repair work on the lid seems to be covering an internal upgrade of some kind that was removed, so possibly the speaker is a left over from whatever that was, as it's fairly heavily glued on but the leads have been cut. The slot seems too wide for a 3.5" floppy, maybe just barely wide enough...

Re: BBC Master clock not running

Well, I refitted the board to check the power, which is reading at 5.04V. Reset all the settings because the battery had been out for too long, got a hard freeze after setting the time, power cycled and the clock is now running again, so I have no idea why it stopped or why it started again :? Every...

BBC Master clock not running

Hi, I've noticed that the clock on my master doesn't seem to be running - I can set the time, but whenever I check *time afterwards I just get whatever time I previously set. It doesn't seem to have any issue remembering settings, it just isn't ticking. The backup battery was initially changed in 20...

That would be great, what do you want for the board?
I'm happy for it to go free to a good home, its only going to sit in my box otherwise :) Just let me know where to send it.

Re: Master econet module connector

I do have some spare blank boards if you want me to pop one in the post. If I read the manual right, I think it would need to be wired something like this, with a matching cable. I haven't actually figured out the econet header to socket pin connections yet to work out which wire is which. https://i...

Re: Master econet module connector

Hi, I came across this thread while working on an econet based 6522 myself (though intended to drive a YM2149 not a user port). It has been very useful and led to me making an internal user port PCB since it seemed a useful thing for prototyping with (also if I start using the actual user port for a...
