Re: TZXDuino with UEF support

the documentation ( https://mega.nz/#!fAEUQa4J!Nm8LISazoTK6vtUEDzYOAEkCPDslmvEQcPTytsU1MUc ) tells you for the BBC that you have to unzip the .uef files :- 2 UEF files need to be unzipped before they can be played on the TZXDuino. On Linux machines this can be done by using GUNZIP. On Windows machin...

Re: RGB to HDMI using a Pi Zero and a small CPLD

if I run Labyrinth which I think uses a higher frequency to display the mode it keeps re sinking and the picture jumps, which is why I was wondering if the pi zero unit handled that correctly.

Re: RGB to HDMI using a Pi Zero and a small CPLD

I am curious how Labyrinth works with this unit I have one from e-bay and it does odd things if i try to play Labyrinth on a hdmi monitor, as it does some weird things with the screen layout.

Re: Doctor Who and the Mines of Terror

Hi Tom, I would love to get a better recording of the doctor who tape if possible, I use Goldwave to record all my wav files, I know others use other software to do it. Here is a link to give you some tips how to get the best wav file https://acorn.huininga.nl/pub/unsorted/software/pc/CSW%20Viewer/H...

Re: 30th Anniversary BBC and Electron Collection

If you look in the manual on page 34 under *cat it gives a reason for that. http://www.retroclinic.com/acorn/datacentre/files/DCE_Manual.pdf If the image is bootable, as most games are, then <SHIFT><BREAK> or <SHIFT><R><BREAK> if RamFS is not the default filing system, will allow the image to boot, ...

Re: Need some electronics advice...

I would try the diode across the solenoid and capacitors that where suggested, as the relay already has the protection diode.
so either its the back surge from the solenoid causing a problem or overloading of the 5v when the solenoid is activated.

Looking at your 1st picture (if that's the same as your system) it looks like there is already a diode across the solenoid on the printed circuit board.

Re: Master floppy interface not working

is the DFS ROM enables and does it show the DFS when you switch on the master "Acorn 1770 DFS"
couple be if the master has been laying for so long that the battery is flat for the CMOS and it's lost its settings, would also check it has not leaked out onto anywhere.

Re: BBC Micro MMC Card adapter - compatible cards

I was trying to work out why I have DFS and UTILS twice. Presumably it is because they exist on two different ROMs? Having now identified which ROM is which, I see that 0.A2 is a reference to the MMC ROM. DFS1.20 is therefore the Acorn DNFS ROM. Since the MMC ROM is to the right of the Acorn DFS RO...

DFS explorer is good but if you change pc or OS it wont run as full version anymore which is a bit of a pity is its registered to the pc/OS where you generated the registration code.

I also attach a photo of my MMC card and the ROM sockets area of the PCB. The MMC ROM is clearly visible., I'm not sure what the other ROMs are but they are Acorn branded. Anyone know what they are? “PB04” for OS 1.20 The BASIC ROM is labelled “PB01” or “PB05”. '00201666-03 and -01' are both Acorn ...

Re: Repton 2 - Cassette Version - LOCKED

as long as you are CH."REPTON2" file it should load as that is a basic program loader for the rest, but if its having a problem with the 1st block and it skips it will tries to load the "?" file then it going to give a locked message as that file is locked on the tape.
