I would like a pcb, if you have any left.

Thanks,
Danny
Sure, if anyone wants just the bare PCB then PM me.
Would an all-inclusive kit be possible?
I can solder myself.

Re: Today I received.....

After anightin posted a picture of the soft stretch covers he received from Dario Coutinho, I ordered 2 covers.
One for my Model B+ and one for my Master 128, they were just delivered.
The quality is excellent!

Re: Elite save game from checksum restore?

I may not have explained well enough. The code I’m talking about is a sequence of 10 digits 0-9 that the game generated as part of the Elite contest. Whoever reached Elite could submit the 10 digit code to, I believe, Acornsoft, and then you would get an Elite badge. I’m talking about this 10 digit ...

Elite save game from checksum restore?

Danielj was kind enough to use his Greaseweazle to scan what I presumed was my 36 year old Elite copy for the bbc master. To my embarrassment, the disk turned out to be a lowly PC 5.25”. So I have somehow lost my Elite disk copy 😢 However, back in the day, I always wrote down the code/checksum I got...

Re: need help reading 5.25 floppy.

Well that’s embarrasing...
I wonder where the Elite disk went, this disk was in the cover I used to write the codes on whenever I did a save.

Thank you very much for testing it for me, you can throw away the disk.

Re: Today I received.....

A fantastic soft stretch cover for my ATOM/System 2/3/5 keyboard. Would highly recommend. I simply sent the WxHxD and paid via PP. Cover was posted with tracking from Spain and arrived within a week. I can't vouch for any anti-static properties, I must admit I didn't ask him -- maybe if you're inte...

Have you tried sticking the DFS ROM in a lower priority slot than the MMFS ROM?

Re: Resto-Modding a Master 128

The saga continues, as I bought (admittedly for too much, but that's what happens if you snipe an eBay-auction) a BBC Master Plinth with 2 5.25 drives. The Plinth itself is in fairly good condition, there are some small rust spots here and there and there was a slight bend in the lower tray. The ben...

need help reading 5.25 floppy.

I need some help reading a 5.25 floppy. I have 2 Cumana drives that once upon a time read my disks perfectly. Now I have 1 broken and 1 working drive that just reads about 20% of my disks. I have a "backup" copy of Elite for the Model B that I got from a teacher back in 1985. I was still able to rea...

Re: Resto-Modding a Master 128

Hi Tricky, Yeah the Rom shows up in both slots and i van Access the Build in setup from both slots. I‘m sure the slots can be jumpers out, maybe you are thinking of the jumpers to select between ROM or sideways RAM for 2 of the 3 optional ROM slots on the motherboard? But just in case you’re right, ...

Re: Resto-Modding a Master 128

An interesting phenomenon I found when installing the VideoNuLa ROM. I opted to install the ROM in a Cartridge (Dave's excellent ARA Cartridge), so I don't loose any sideways RAM. When I insert the cartridge in the upper slot and run ie. Elite (Master, or Tube) All I see is a large totally white win...

Today I finished the "Mod" part of the RestoMod project, by desoldering the Video ULA and replacing it with a 28pin IC-socket. Re: Resto-Modding a Master 128

Hi Mark, Thanks for the info. By the looks of the document an alternative solution would be to use 2 diodes in series. However, as I'm using a 1N4005 that is rated for 600V at 1A, I think just using 1 diode should be fine. I will however pick up a couple more 1N4005's when I'm near the electronics s...

Re: Cumana 5.25" Single Floppy Disc Drive for the BBC Microcomputer

The Drive in the enclosure is a TEC FB-501 configured to appear as Drive 0 to the BBC Micro with a 40 Track Formatted Capacity of 100kB
Can it be reconfigured to read 80 tracks 200kB discs?
