Re: Easy Screen Shots From a TV

A nice find. I don't own a smart TV, but if one hpapens to come my way, I'll keep this in mind. Well actually.... it's not just smart tv's, I've found a lot of the dumb ones are "Smart Inside" too, they have the same firmware just don't have things like the correct sockets on the back and the inter...

Easy Screen Shots From a TV

Don't know where else to put this, so Sydney and crew, if there's a better place feel free to move it. Recently, I've been doing some "Television Work", that is I undertook a project to write some HTML applications for these new fangled smart tv things. During my adventures, I found that 9o odd perc...

Some rather sad news

Chuck Peddle, father of the 6502 CPU has passed away.

I've posted a slightly longer response in the BBC Forums on FB, I'm mostly just reposting the link here for those that don't do FB.

Got it now and it works a treat, all fixed and all files recovered. Needless to say I've done a full logical backup of the RPC hard drive. I can't image it with FCFS unfortunately as the disc is too big. Great to hear :-) /me stares at the magic white smoke escaping in the profile pic .... shawty

Best it to go to their home page and search for what you want rather than look at what Jason has posted. Re: A5000 Power Supply Circuit Diagram

Yes - it is most likely something on the motherboard... In my experience, PSUs are almost never the issue with these. d. Well I guess then my first port of call would be to check obvious things, I don't have an OScope, but I do have a 24Mhz 8 channel logic analyzer, and I know I can see things like...

Re: A5000 Power Supply Circuit Diagram

12V is on the main board as it goes through to the podule bus. Again, nothing uses it. d. SO as long as the 5v rail is good (Which I suspect it is) Then issue is most likely with the main board. :-( Exactly what I was hoping it wasn't going to be. Looks like it might have to be sent off to "Mutant ...

Re: A5000 Power Supply Circuit Diagram

4.95V is well within the required specification. I’d have to study the schematic to be sure what the +12V and -5V supplies are used for. But all the digital logic uses only the +5V supply. So if this is good, the CPU, memory etc... should all all work. But as Duncan says, the true test of the PSU i...

12v is usually for the motors.

Be best to take the voltage measurement with board under load.

Re: A5000 Power Supply Circuit Diagram

So i'm told, but there's a 12v line connected to the mainboard, which IMHO opinion wouldn't be there, if it was only needed for the drives, beacuse they have separate connectors coming directly out of the PSU.
