Cheers,
James

Howdy. Working away making another old BBC B I recently acquired useful, This one has a ZIF socket, I've run across them in the past usually from Watford Electronics, this one is slightly different in addition to the 28 pin ROM extension ribbon it has two wires with an IC socket soldered on the ends...

Nice surprise to find!

Only other thing I can think of to add is the rom sockets will take 32k roms.

BeebSCSI

Not sure if to post this in hardware or software but here goes. I have a partition ADFS partition image of a old harddisk, I'd like to install this onto a SD card that is in use with beepscsi, I assume beepscsi is just using raw images as the .dat file but how would I create a .dsc type file for the...

Cambridge packet radio

Good day

Anyone happen to know where I can get a copy of the once popular BBC software that allowed the BBC to use the tape port to send packet radio over the ham bands?

Regards

Re: Old Siskin software

Ah oh well.

I can use termulator or some terminal program, but I was keen to see what the the software specifically designed for the PK232 could do.

Shame it cannot be recovered.

Thanks for taking a look.

Re: Old Siskin software

Oh Dear.

That does sound a bit terminal for the software.
No idea what could have happened, but I did notice in one of the help files it mentions about their BBC programmer quitting!

Thats frustrating.

Thanks

Re: Beeb black plastic suround

Sorry that I missed the original post by brown1d, anyhow, I've used this company before, they supply replica panels for some Heathkit equipment.
I'd guess the cost would be 20-30 USD given the small quantity, not sure how much the cutting adds to the cost, but will find out.

Re: Beeb black plastic suround

Spoke with a outfit that make panels out of Polycarbonate. They would need a run of 25 to make it worth while, I'd only be wanting 3 perhaps 4 myself.

Beeb black plastic surround

Good day all.

Before contacting a small manufacturer I know and physically pulling item of the Beeb, I though I'd first ask to see of anyone is producing the black plastic keyboard surround?
Anyone know of a current source of these?

Regards

Michael
