Yes...is this still in testing I take it and is it reliable? Is anybody going to to actually start producing this you think IanS?

Success! It works on my RPC600 Excellent news. I can confirm that the board you sent me also works fine on my A3000. IMG_20190427_200235_HDR.jpg IMG_20190427_201337_HDR.jpg IanS, was RISC OS 3.20 available for the A3000? Thought it’s max operating system was 3.11 or the German 3.19 equivalent?

Hi myelin

Do we have any news or are we getting closer to the board being made? Exciting times ahead... :D

Re: A310 parts identification

Thanks! I’ve never seen anything like it before and cannot find any reference to the manufacturer...interesting though and very well thought out upgrade design... If you had an 8Mb upgrade kit (Simtec, Atomwide), you could also easily plug the twin MEMC board into the socketed MEMC holder on the upg...

No worries Dave!

I’m sorry for the subsequent late reply...was it possible to upgrade an earlier version ROM to say, for instance, the latest version produced? Presumably using !Snafu ?

Re: Baildon Electronics ICS ideA A3000 board & CD Drives?

A CD drive should work fine as slave, if your version of IDEFS includes CDFS driver software. And if not, it should just be a case of updating your IDEFS ROM with a later version of the ICS IDE software..they went up to 3V22 I think, which definitely included CDFS, and there is now the alternative ...

Baildon Electronics ICS ideA A3000 board & CD Drives?

Hello all! I hope your all well and I have been reading quite a few threads relating to the Baildon Interface for the A3000. Hi myelin Hope your well :D I have managed to get a Simtec 8Mb upgrade kit (thanks to RobC) which is more compact and better suited to the A3000, but as the upgrade was originally designed for the A5000, we still need your adapter board :D Do you have a rough idea on when the board will be ready? :w...

Re: A310 parts identification

Definitely looks like one of the nicest A310 4mb plug-in solutions I've seen. The Watford plug-in 4mb which I have for my current A310 involves two boards connected by IDC cable in a similar way to 8mb upgrades, and is quite fiddly to fit. As Ian says, most 4mb upgrades for the A310 required a lot ...

Hi all :D I was fortunate enough to be given an A310 when I was on a technical call out job at a customer’s house. Re: A3000 in-system programmable ROM -- any interest?

:D :D

Perfect! Looks good.

So, if you flipped the board, provided you had header pins or ROM legs where the holes would be, it would plug into the ROM sockets on the motherboard of the A3000 but on top would have the A5000 ROM socket spacing. Is this correct?

Re: A3000 in-system programmable ROM -- any interest?

That’s great. I would need one making as I have an 8Mb memory upgrade that was originally designed for the A5000 to fit into my A3000. Whatever the cost is I will pay it. The A3000 motherboard could handle 4Mb max. The upgrade memory board had 4Mb which is soldered to the ROM board carrier. The fact...

Re: A3000 in-system programmable ROM -- any interest?

Hello

I have an A3000. The spacing of the ROM sockets on the A3000 and A5000 is different as everybody on this thread has described.

Can you manufacture a board which will plug directly into the A3000 motherboard ROM sockets but then has the A5000 ROM 'spacing' on top?
