Re: Burn RISCOS roms

I have used the attached in the past as: ./splitrom << Splits a file called rom.bin This will give you two files with rom1.bin being the lower 16bits. If you are using the TL866 to burn larger ROMs (i.e. 27C6160 - RiscPC), you going to have to further split the ROM into chunks. The UNIX split tool c...

Re: FOR SALE: 8 & 16 bit IDE Podules - SOLD OUT

@ians

If you are going to do another run of the 16bit cards with the green PCB. I will take one; it’s for a A410/1 (has backplane).

Thank you

Econet Bridge

Hi Got the Econet working between two BBC Micro Bs; played Level 1 and 2 FileServers. Taken a look at the Arduino FileStore server and like the direction of the project. However I was wondering if any ever one looked at using it as a foundation as an Econet to IP bridge. Allowong inter-connection of...

Re: Beeb black plastic suround

I originated the question from earlier in the week.

I would also be interested in a couple; although I must admit I would like the printing for the text on the LEDs as well.

Keyboard Mat - Model B

Hi

Does anyone know where the black keyboard mat/surround can be obtained? Tried looking through CJE Micro.

One of the ones I have is getting brittle, and it just a mat that fits on top of the actual plastic case.

Thank you
David

Re: Issue 4 display fault

So thanks to @1024MAK, IC15 is certainly the fault. I can see the data lines pulsing on input using a logic probe. However on the output 5Q is held low and 6Q is held high. I believe that: 5Q goes to D1 on SAA5050 6Q goes to D3 on SAA5050 New 74LS273N on order, and with luck another Beeb saved.

Re: Issue 4 display fault

One other data point (and I think this backs up IC15). I do also see some pulsing in the characters; looks like noise, with parts of the character appearing and disappearing. Further the C in BBC seems to have settled in being an I. A and C both give I: A = 65h = 0110 0101 C = 67h = 0110 0111 I = 73...

Issue 4 display fault

My issue 4 seems to have some problems. The issue occurs from power on, and persists in Mode 7 (and also shadow mode 135). Mode 0-6 have no problems with display. Based on reading on the Forums, initially assumed this was a memory fault, have done the usual moving of S25 from North, to South, to not...

Hello from Atlanta, GA

Hi, Introducing myself as a new BBC Micro owner. Have an Issue 7 and Issue 4 based machine; both are UK specification. Through 110v to 240v power converter, and a RGB to SCART to HDMI converter, have them working. Started out on the ZX Spectrum, through the ToastRack, a ton of time spent on the Rese...
