Re: Simultaneous internet & mass storage solutions for the A3010

I am waiting for the ethernet PHY... in the meantime, I wrote some code for an ESP32 board .. it connects to my home Wifi and prints the ethernet frames on the serial console. some promise there. Some logic level converters and the PLIP protocol should do the trick. My home network sends tons of tra...

You'll also need a suitable RO C/C++ compiler - the ROOL dev tools - available here - will probably do, but aren't free.

Re: Simultaneous internet & mass storage solutions for the A3010

Thanks...

I have ordered the hardware for the build... I was thinking of using an old PC (with a REAL parallel port) to get it working, then I hope to move it over to other systems.

Re: Simultaneous internet & mass storage solutions for the A3010

Hi Richard - Unfortunately, the demands of my daily life have been such that I’ve not had the time to make any progress with this project. I have got the plipbox hardware, and RobC very kindly shared his CP2201 driver code with me, so at least I’ve got everything that I need to make a start, other ...

I have the patch but no idea what to do with it.
If you're talking about the pre-patched ADFS 2.68 - just run it.

Re: IDE->SD/CF Adapters (What works and what doesnt)

There are several issues that cause IDE devices to fail, all of which can be resolved if you take a look at this thread. ADFS was based around the first IDE standard, which stipulated a DRQ timeout of 500ns, this was removed in later revisions. The patched ADFS 2.68 will resolve this issue Bulk dat...

2Gb is the limit for formatting with !HForm on an A3020 and then you will only get about 500Mb.

Is there any way to force !HDForm to use the maximum HEADS/TRACKS/SECTORS it can handle instead of just bailing out?

Re: A3000 logic analyzer project

some maths..

12 (96 bits) bytes at 8Mhz = 96 Mbyes/Second...

Second thoughts, BBB can cope with 8Mhz, but it wont cope with those numbers in RAW throughput - Unless some protocol that only sends Deltas... but I don't really know what device can sink RAW data at that rate.

The original Open Bench Logic Sniffer captures to FPGA block RAM, and so its depth is limited to ~10K samples. There were some derivatives that capture to synchronous DRAM. Re: A3000 logic analyzer project

I use the OpenBenchLogic sniffer

Would that be of some kind of use? For $50 USD - can capture 32 channels quite easily.
