I think the latest version is in the "System resources" update on ROOL, you'll need to update all the Toolbox Modules.
Thanks, I found, digging inside this archive what I needed.

Re: RISCPC 700: VRAM question, and other

Checked the contacts. They weren't clean, so cleaned them. But It seem that 3 of the contacts on the sim holder are not making contact, or may be broken :(. I sucessfully/gently bent two to make contact, but the last one seems to be broken, as it move very freely between the plastic part.... Damned...

Re: RISCPC 700: VRAM question, and other

It's reporting only 32 Mb at boot (I have two 16MB as RAM stick) . So looks like the VRAM Modules isn't recognized. More Over, I cannot select 256 color mode with more than 640x480, and none of Thousand Color mode. It's a singlde sided VRAM Module. How dow I remove this module ? It doesn't look to c...

Thanks for the link

Here is what my R600 give:

Fault code:
0001C019
CMOS unreadable
VIDC Sirq (Sound Interrupt) timing failed
VIDC Virq (Video Interrupt) timing failed

ARM 3 fitted/ARM ID read and not ARM2
Long memory test performed
Self-test due to power-on

So what can i do now?

Re: RiscPC600:battery leak

The only thing I get is that the LED of the disk drive blink, like a code (3 short, 1 long, repeated). Ok, it's a POST CODE. Funny. Never seen the use of the Floppy LED in any other computer to display POST error Codes. As I do not have any video, it may be related to video. Will make a movie of th...

Re: New to RiscPC: RiscPC700

well... The RiscPC 700 work. 32 Mb of RAM, and seems to have a 3Gb Hard disk, empty, except software for the failed 486 card. I found a 3 buttons serial mouse. The CDROM cannot read the included PDCD 4 (it can, at some point, but failed to read files, most of the time). Cleaned the lens, no way. Tri...

Re: RiscPC600:battery leak

I've cleaned as much as i can the motherboard. Looks correct nothing went with the toothbrush. Changed to RAM for a good pair of 4Mb taken from an old Mac. So I tried to power it. Nothing burned, Power LED up, fan up. I can hear the Hard Disk spinning and the HD LED flashing at power on. But nothing...

Re: RPCEmu 0.9.0 and Macs - beta testers wanted

Nope, nor the Finder way to make an alias nor the unix way work for me if RPCEMU is in Library/Application Support folder... It does see the roms and config file, but hostfs do not work.
:/
Work if changed to Documents/RPCEMU/ in rpc-machdep.

Re: RPCEmu 0.9.0 and Macs - beta testers wanted

I will try the trick with the alias but not sure if it will work. A real unix alias (ln -s) may work.

But for now, hostfs don’t work at all if placed in Application support: riscos doesn’t see it, and I have a infinite hourglass mouse icon. I am alone to have that?

Re: RPCEmu 0.9.0 and Macs - beta testers wanted

(please don't use the word "should" Sorry for the "should", I'm french, appologize, it may not mind exactly what I want to say. "You may" have been better ? That's what I wanted to say. I don't like things creating random folders in other places (e.g. "Documents"), and I figured that if people are ...

Re: RPCEmu 0.9.0 and Macs - beta testers wanted

Hello, I also tried your patch (MacOs 12, QT 5.10, MacBook Pro). It works except that hostfs will not work if I use the default ~/Library/Application Support. i have to change to another path directly in the sources to make it working. My Fench keyboard is not that bad mapped. Q is A, and so on, but...

Re: RiscPC600:battery leak

Thanks for the advice.

Water is very hard here (white traces everywhere.... so that's why I have white vinegar !).

Will try tomorrow. Is there any risk of bad PSU (too high voltage) ?

Hello from France

Hello, I'm 48, collecting computer since 20 years now. Mostly Apple, Atari, Commodore, pocket computers. I recently got my hand on 2 RiscPC (600 and 700), sold as "not tested", for 50€. I really don't know much on Acorn system, they are the first I have, as Acorn system tend to cost a lot ;). The 70...
