BeebSid

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I made a video about the BeebSID v2.4 I recently built.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2869U0-YNw&t=4s

Thanks
NB I had problems with the SmartSPI SD card being attached to my beeb-is this a normal issue at all?
Will removing the firmware rom resolve it?

Re: Please subscribe to the new ABug YouTube Channel!

A few people have asked if the ABug videos can be uploaded to YouTube in addition to the ABug website, as apparently it's better suited to viewing on/streaming to a telly ... so I've created a new Youtube channel and over the past couple of days have uploaded all of the previous videos from May-Aug...

Beeb to Elk ports (help needed pls)

Hi all I am currently writing a video series about growing up with computers and currently working on the elk and beeb. I am wondering if anyone can list the kinds of tricks programmers used to over the limitations of the elk when porting beeb games over? I only need a "laymans" perpsectiv...

Re: 128K banked flash ROM cartridge

Any chance I could get a copy of the case for 3d printing myself please? :) I'll dig out the design tomorrow. Note: You may need to play with your Slicer to get-it-right (unless you have a Trinus?) - but shouldn't take too long. Dave H :D Thanks Dave, appreciate it. Don't have a trinus im afraid. RM

Re: 128K banked flash ROM cartridge

David, if you use SOIC packages for the components on the rear of the board and solder-in the main IC on the front you should be able to fit the board into a standard cartridge Case. I have a case design that will accept my PCBs and a standard Acorn Cartridge PCB. I've had Issues, to be sure . . . ...

Re: TMS-5220 & Arcade Speech ROMS

Hey Mr. G
RetroMarky here
I have the same speech chip set as you on my beeb. Was wondering after watching your video, could I get a copy of the code you acquired so I can play the star wars samples please?

Thanks in advance
RM
