Re: Wires? Pah.....

Thank you Martin for the *UPCFS games list/folder that's fantastic! I've got the multi OS on the Master so i tend to leave it in BBC model B mode as much as i can for games.

Super speedy loading ;)

Re: UPURS cable and rom ?

Hi Martin, Just letting you know the UPURS cable and Rom is fantastic! ;) I know we got of on the wrong foot but all turned good in the end :) I'm using the cable on the BBC Master with the Rom in a cartridge case which has a Commstar Rom in ;) I like the Master as its easier to fit Roms. The cable ...

I've been playing music tapes for over 3 hours now and I've got loads mainly 80's stuff and the deck is working mint.So now i have put a tape in with my program on and its loading spot on ? Re: Acorn BBC data recorder ANF03

Thanks danielj :) I'm pleased to know :) The deck is working fantastic at the moment despite all the trouble I've been having. I dare not unplug or move the deck in case it goes back to the problem but I'd really like to know what the issue is whether its capacitors? I saw a few little caps and one ...

Acorn BBC data recorder ANF03

Hi can someone please tell me when connecting a 7 pin to 7 pin data cable from the BBC data recorder ANF03 is it normal for the data to be heard loading through the loud speaker whilst loading a tape on the BBC? Obviously when loading via the ear socket this does cut out any audio from the loud spea...

Re: Raspberry Pi B+ compatible GPIO Extender 40-way Ribbon Cable Female-Male

Hi Dave, Yes the 30cm and 50cm cable on kjells board and Retroclinics board works perfectly fine on either length cable on my BBC Master and my 2 other vanilla model b bbc's. So the 50cm cable was not too long after all which was suspected! The data center is not the issue as i once thought. The rea...

Re: Raspberry Pi B+ compatible GPIO Extender 40-way Ribbon Cable Female-Male

Hi hoglet, Ive decided to put the pi directly on the TUBE connector and not bother with the 30cm cable or the 50cm one. The pi is working fine off the TUBE and can't understand why i can't use an extended cable even though the 30cm and 50cm cable works on my other bbc's? even Mark at RetroClinic is ...

Re: Raspberry Pi B+ compatible GPIO Extender 40-way Ribbon Cable Female-Male

OK just another update. I've put the pi back on the TUBE connector on the bbc model b with the data center in and its running fine and dandy. I've got an internal pi board on its way so i can install a pi internally on the BBC Master. I'll keep this pi i have here connected to the TUBE and live with...

Re: Raspberry Pi B+ compatible GPIO Extender 40-way Ribbon Cable Female-Male

Just to add salt to the wound i have now plugged the 50cm extended cable in to the BBC Master and in MOS mode the pi works fantastic! So now i realise the cable was not too long after all. The TUBE is disabled in model B mode on the Master with multi OS so that's settled and the pi is working great....

Re: Raspberry Pi B+ compatible GPIO Extender 40-way Ribbon Cable Female-Male

Hi bigED, I have already done that and it makes no difference unfortunately. The pi and the cable has been on and off that many times on the TUBE connector pins i'm sure if there was any tarnish it would have been removed by now.I thought there might have been tarnish on the pins due to reading some...

Re: Raspberry Pi B+ compatible GPIO Extender 40-way Ribbon Cable Female-Male

Mark has told me the TUBE connector is disabled in model b mode on the BBC master multi OS. So that will explain why the pi is not there in bbc model b mode so i will install this pi on the master and leave it at that. I should have read the manually fully as its stated in there about the TUBE being...

Re: Raspberry Pi B+ compatible GPIO Extender 40-way Ribbon Cable Female-Male

Hi Elminster, when i say vanilla i mean a bog standard bbc model b with no data center or mods of any kind. Re: Need help connecting BBC Master to Internet

Hi i use a lantronix UDS-10 on my BBC to access BBS sites. I have 2 lantronix in total and i use them on all my 8bit computers and amiga. The lantronix is a serial to ethernet device and it emulates a modem. Once its connected to the router or in my case an ethernet hub you download the lantronix so...

Re: PiTubeDirect signalconverter for BBC Micro

Thinking about it now Anaconda's files must have been working ok on the sd card. The reason i thought nothing was working is because the copro is already set to 14 oppose to 0 so there was the black screen waiting for me to press the break key then call up a co processor but i vaguely remember trying...
