oh I'm easily pleased, i was only looking for a disk drive replacement so for me TurboMMC is still a blooming fantastic option for file keeping, better than i could have ever dreamed. thanks again for the help.

Hi, My Beebs power supply was serviced in 2017, the noise levels of the machine are very low and the way the noise introduces itself reminds me of a failing capacitor. weirdly over the last few days its been very silent. good job on the ABM, i thought it was a commercial Acorn product,i wish, CBM pets are lovely,and i had never seen the Acorn ABC either, i suppose those were in use at Acorns offices back in the 1980s ?.

Pulling a bad tooth out (BBC UHF modulator)

Whiskey wont cure this one, is removing the UHF modulator a matter of desoldering it ? (Model b rev7) or would it require more skill and knowledge. Any background noise my Beeb makes seams to be related to the UHF modulator, i fear somehow the interference has caused the few disk or tape corruptions...
