That model has a 3.5mm stereo jack labelled: HDMI/PC/DVI-D audio in, which sounds like what you need.
Thanks, I’ll give that a go.

Re: RGB to HDMI using a Pi Zero and a small CPLD

What TV/Monitor model are you using? Many have a way of connecting analog audio, even when HDMI is being used. Samsung 2033HD (TV\Monitor). BTW, with the Scart picture, even with the picture size set to 4:3, doesn't fit vertically https://stardot.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=21625 , but HD...

Re: RGB to HDMI using a Pi Zero and a small CPLD

I've been considering buying the RGB to HDMI using a Pi Zero for my Acorn computers, instead of buying a cheap scart to HDMI, but I'm holding back buying either as I want to add audio to the HDMI. The cheap scart to HDMI looks like it supports it, but from the documentation of RGB to HDMI using a Pi...

Re: No “fit screen” option for Scart input on Samsung TV monitor.

Hotel mode was off, so that wasn’t it. Also edited the source name to PC and that doesn’t fix it. I’ll get hold of a Scart to hdmi converter to see if that’ll work.

No “fit screen” option for Scart input on Samsung TV monitor.

I picked up for free a Samsung 2033HD tv monitor, but can’t get the picture to fit on the screen with my Electron using Scart. There are options for 4:3 screen format, but not “screen fit” for Scart. The result is the top of the picture is off the screen. Any suggestions on how I might fix this? Wou...

Just been enjoying the video by Mark on the abug site http://abug.org.uk/index.php/2020/11/07/explaining-elite/ . Fantastic suff. =D> After seeing the video and visiting his website www.bbcelite.com , I realised the version of Elite that I had back in the 80's for the Electron had the bug which bloc...

Nice kit by the way. Quite jealous of the Plus 3. I keep playing with the idea of getting hold of a Plus 3, just to have a full set of Acorn addons for the Electron. From time-to-time they do crop up on eBay and go for good money, and\or will not deliver to Greece ](*,) Now to expand your kit with A...

I think I read that MMFS is based on DFS 2.26? So I guess that this is an easier mod, than looking at ADFS first.

Re: B+ DFS & ADFS versions for PAGE E00

Coming back to this afternoon some time. I suppose you can combine rom and ram with some address decoding on a single board to get page at E00 and not load ADFS or DFS in SW RAM each time you boot? Also B+ sockets being configurable as 32k you could have both ADFS and DFS on a single plugin board I ...

Been following the Commander X16 project on and off as well. Waiting to see the final result is like.

Much prefer to see “BBC C” like computer built around a 6502 combining modern tech. Or BBC next (spectrum next) like computer.

Adrian's Digital Basement, is very good. I enjoy it a lot. The 8 bit guy is not bad either, but his content is not so much to my taste. I’ve just started following another couple of youtubers Jan beta and Noel’s retro lab. Better than the 8 bit guy in my opinion. Occasionally RMC - The Cave, has som...

Talking about old Arcade games, back around 78-79-80 (I guess), Lowestoft swimming pool (now called Waterlane Liesure Centre), had two Arcade games in the entrance hall. One was space invaders and the other ...., I can't for the life remember what it was. If I could find some list of Arcade games wi...

Maybe it was a C64, but for sure I wouldn’t have recognised back then. There were lots of spectrums, a few zx81’s, even less BBC’s (price) etc.

I was watching by chance Ghostbusters on tv remembered seeing the computer game being played at a computer club I attended back in the 80’s. I was researching what parts to to buy to add an audio out to my B+ and came across this article http://www.muzines.co.uk/articles/boppi ... e-bbc/3383. I haven't checked yet to see if PL16 is the same on the B+ as it means I have to take off the case again.

Re: Second Processor Elite for the Electron

I don't if it can be easily changed, but in the 2nd processor version you start with a complete ship with loads of money. It would be nice, like the non-2nd processor version, to have the option to start with a basic ship and a 100 credits.

I also do have a TZXDuino with the latest Maxduino firmware - I understand they are supposed to be able to load uncompressed .UEF files? Re: Electron modern storage options

ElkSD is great solution, not only do you get to use DFS (filing system) disk images e.g. SSD extension, you also get sideways RAM and do not need any addons to the Electron. If you want to use a Gotek, you'll need additional hardware either a Plus 3 (and an adaptor), or Plus 1 with a disk controller...

As far as I know, there is no emulator which is suitable for this.
It works in MAME! This is configured with Electron, AP6, Pegasus 400, AP5, Acorn 6502 2nd Processor.

Is there detailed instructions for setting Mame up from the Elk? I struggled the last time I tried this.

I have a Pi + level shifter connected to a Tube cartridge on an Electron, an AP5 would also do the trick.
Ray
The AP5 provides a Tube port for this to work. I would think you would need to provide the Tube in the cartridge on the Master to connect a Pi.

It seems that finally the solution for me will be to use the ElkSD64 to load .SSD files an the TZXduino to load .UEF files. You could use this tool (PlayUEF) for "playing" uef files https://stardot.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13992 Or additional hardware to load UEF from a PC (UPURS) ht...

Is it possible to directly comvert UEF to SSD files? If not, is it possible to play the UEF files (with an TZXduino for example) and "capture" and "dump" the data to be saved in SSD format? You could try the method described here https://stardot.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=812...

On the Elkulator disc menu I have checked the three options (Plus 3 enable, ADFS enable and DFS enable) so, it should load DFS files from Tricky compilation without problem isn't it? With all of these enabled you’ll need to use the command *DISK to select DFS, or *ADFS for ADFS. If you don’t want A...
