Re: RGB to HDMI using a Pi Zero and a small CPLD

Will this be something that will get to being a "finished" product in a little enclosure (apologies if that has happened already) as I'd really like to buy one at some point, or register interest to do so when that time arrives. Assembled boards are available in the for sale forum but you...

Re: RGB to HDMI using a Pi Zero and a small CPLD

Fisrt, Congratulations for this real RGB to HDMI upscaler! I am interested on build one of these for use on my Atari ST and Amiga 500. But I am into a mess; What is the version that I need to build in order to connect the RGB output of these computers? I read something about a 12 bits capable versi...

Re: RGB to HDMI using a Pi Zero and a small CPLD

I tested new RC release with my A500, but found an issue with FF-OSD: it seems working fine only when the RGB OSD is active too (i.e at boot or when invoked by button). At native OSD timout, FF-OSD disappear too, even if drive is working. I'll try more timing-out config in FF.CFG, but i'm afraid the...

Re: RGB to HDMI using a Pi Zero and a small CPLD

Wow, i didn't know it was in progress the support for FF-OSD!! i'll try the new release asap, Thank you! At the moment the support is only for c0pperdragon's internal Amiga board using an overlay input, see this thread for more details: https://github.com/c0pperdragon/Amiga-Digital-Video/issues/26 ...

Re: RGB to HDMI using a Pi Zero and a small CPLD

Thank you IanB for the info, so it should need an internal placement of the Rgbtohd, like in the amiga? I'll wait for RobC testing and for more detailed connection info, but I have no more space in my.micro neither in my master, full of vnula, picopro, integra-b, datacentre, etc., so it could be not...

The C128 profile was posted by another user and I don't have one so I've never tested it, however looking at it in more detail I can see that the main problem is t...

Re: RGB to HDMI using a Pi Zero and a small CPLD

Since now tested only BBC Cpld, it works but in my small 9" test monitor it sets the maximum supported resolution (1920x1080), that is not the native res (1024x600), so the result it's scaled. It's normal? i attach log and edid, if useful. Thank you Ian for your improvements! Log.txt EDID.bin.t...

I used the default TI99 setting, only lowered the Y-Low to 43 for avoid some noise on purple.

After the good results with SVI-328, i take again my SC-3000 that had some issues when first tested. So, i simply detach the connector to the daughter board and retested: inside.jpg patt...
