that sounds good I have a few nano's knocking around and happy to take a run with the soldering iron So attached the sketch for Smallymouse in Arduino (one or nano). For pinouts (4 wires in ps2 mouse, 9 wires in Archi side) you can refere to comments inside ino files, and have a look to this 2 rile...

Re: A3000 restoration

Amiga and Atari have different pinout than Archi's one... you should by a smallymouse2 adapter, or make one yourself..
Personally, i made my mouse adapter for the A3000 with an arduino nano and porting smallymouse2 code. If you are interested and like soldering cable, i can share the .ino files.

Resolved!! :D Since i had problem when writing, i made some test copying some text from floppy to hd, and noticed the second letter of each pair sometime was shifted by one character, so... the 9th bit was not working! A closer look with a lens and.. a pin was not soldered fine: a quick resolder and...

I hope mine will work forever too! Anyway, psu is one of the simpliest parts to replace, and i used sometimes picopsu inserted into original psu.. Less weight and more efficiency!

Re: Formatting SD/CF cards for use on RISC OS 3.1

Tested with Sirbod's patched 2.68 ADFS, and with a real IDE HD (the Maxtor 20GB, is the "oldest" HD i found at reasonable price.. ;) ), but no difference: formatting finish without error, but HD is still "not understood, may be not formatted?". It's probably the battery acid is the cause of this, bu...

If you have misspelled card identification, you probably still have some broken/shorted tracks.
thank you ianS, i tested continuity for all ide port pins and remade 3 broken. Now all connected pins seem ok, some idea for what check other than continuity?

Best result with the Sandisk 256 cf mentioned above (but !format recognize it as "SaOdi...

The A4000 only has an internal 8-bit expansion (and on-board IDE, like an A3020).
Ops!!! #-o
so i can delete 16 bit version from my to do list until i'll find the right Archimedes... but i could use 2 of 5 pcb ordered, if i won't to repair the onboard ide port.

Which version are you making?
I ordered pcb and components for the 8 bit version for my A3000.

But I bought few days ago from ebay a A4000 with battery corrosion (and hd and floppy not working), and it is on the way from UK... so the 16 bit version is in my todo list too
