I finally got round to building mine today :D =D> =D> =D> ADFS is working great... booting into DOS+ no problem. I've got the M5000 running from a system disk I downloaded.. "{filename}" LOAD RUN is working with the AMPLE disks. One thing is the level of background noise whenever the unit is plugged...

BBC Master ROMS

Hi All

I've just got another Beeb Master :lol:
The two 32k ROM slots are setup via 2 SPDT switches at the rear to choose between ROMS or SWRAM.
Attached are images of the 3 ROM contents.

This is a non-DFS beeb.

You can go either 8271 or 1770 routes for the upgrade.

You any good at fixing Spectrums?
I can fix spectrums... But they can be quite costly depending on whats wrong ( see keyboard membrane and ULA prices ).
I can also do the regulator and composite video mods :D

You would need a bbc disc drive cable of course, but possibly this is the same as for an Amstrad As far as I remember the Amstrad 6128 FD cable is bespoke... So a 34-way IDC cable will be required and also the 0V and 5Vdc on the power header. Otherwise the GOTEK is the same except the config file. ...

Reading back through that thread.... I had a similar issue to begin with.
I eventually got it working by erasing and programming the test OS image onto an older device I had lying around

boots to a continuous beep/wail and when you press break the BCC boots.
Maybe worth putting a scope on power up to see if the 5v rail is taking its time to ramp up.
