Hi Danielj, many thanks for sorting that, I did think it was odd I didn’t get a reply! The request went via email, maybe it’s not working?

Anyhow, all sorted now so thanks again :D

Re: SmallyMouse2 - Universal USB to Quadrature mouse converter

Ok, Looks like I am unable to send private messages and I have had no response from the administrators to help with the issue, sooooooooo..... big shout out to anyone (TheCorfiot you have been indicated as the man to ask  ) who can hook me up with a SmallyMouse2 unboxed board and ribbon cable ...

Re: BBC Master screen interference PiTube direct

Hi Kjell, Many thanks for revisiting this issue and hopefully providing a solution via a new card. No problem with covering the postage. If worst case scenario happens and the internal version still has problems, is there a way to use this version of the Pi externally? Or is it a complete new piece ...

Re: SmallyMouse2 - Universal USB to Quadrature mouse converter

Hi guys, I am interested in the smallymouse, being able to add a modern mouse to a retro machine is a great idea. I have seen the unboxed version but, if I am reading correctly, do you have to provide your own pub connector and cable (dependant on the machine you are using it on?) I have a BBC Maste...

Re: BBC Master screen interference PiTube direct

Hi, When designing the first version of the master card I had the same problem, but I thought it was noise on the datalines. Because when I added the inline 330ohm resistors on the data lines the noise was gone. I will change the design and make new cards. I will see what we can do with replacing t...

Re: BBC Master screen interference PiTube direct

I would prefer to err on the side of caution, so ‘potential’ is good enough for me! I guess the more people use it the more is learnt but i am surprised this hasn’t come up before. As most may know, there are two versions of the master mobo, issue 1 & 2, mine is an issue 1. The only difference I kno...

Re: BBC Master screen interference PiTube direct

Wow, great work indeed =D> As advised, I will remove the pitube for the moment as I don’t want to cause any damage. I do not have an external version so hopefully there is a way to adapt the internal one (I would happily purchase an add-on modification if such a thing could be created?) I must say t...

Re: BBC Master screen interference PiTube direct

I have also noticed this on the tube enhanced version of elite but its very, very slight (Marcus mentioned this also).

So perhaps its not just isolated to the 80x but its just more noticeable on this particular copro?

Re: BBC Master screen interference PiTube direct

Ok, so power seems to be the possible culprit? As noted above, the Pi could be powered separately, how would this be done for the internal version? Would it be possible for some step by step guidelines as to how this would be achieved? I am not overly technical but quite good with a soldering iron! ...

Re: BBC Master screen interference PiTube direct

Hi Marcus, well thats a relief in that someone else has the same issue (thought it was just me!). It would be interesting to know if anyone else has the same problems but maybe with an external version of the pi? It would help narrow down what the cause is perhaps? I would swap to external if this h...

Re: BBC Master screen interference PiTube direct

Ok, downloaded the diamondback update and.......it still does the same :( I notice that the interference occurs when the beeb(or tube) is ‘working’ I.e loading data etc. When I boot up the dos and the digital research screen appears there is some interference while it is loading. Then it waits for m...

Re: BBC Master screen interference PiTube direct

Ok, got a few minutes with the Beeb! The photo shows the pitube details, so not sure of there is a newer version that may be the answer? I have also tried playing the exec version of elite for the first time (yes!) but did notice some small ‘spots’ on some parts of the graphics on the start up scree...

BBC Master screen interference PiTube direct

Hi everyone, Hoping someone may be able to give me some ideas about an issue i am having with my Beeb Master. I have the Pitube direct installed internally, along with datacentre + cf card and connect to tv using rgb scart. After a long delay and taking time to get my Beeb up to full speed i have be...

Had a quick go with the CF image (many thanks again Rob) and got GEM up and running finally =D> Got a question (old school curiosity) is it possible to copy the dosboot from the cf card to a physical floppy and boot up the old fashioned way? (why? You may ask? Whats the point?...like i said i’m old ...

Hi everyone,

Im so glad i found this thread, I too have been having the same issue.

I would love to have a floppy version of the 2.1 boot disc(i am a bit old school) but if i could request a link for the CF image i would be so grateful. I have been trying all sorts of methods to no avail.

Re: Z80 co-pro, and datacentre?

First post on the forum and a bit late to the discussion! I have downloaded RFSTOOLS following the instructions from jghartson, but the 'dsktrap' file seems to be missing? Do the instructions in the README file not work? I'm fairly certain that everything that is supposed to be in RFSTools.[zip|ssd...
