Re: Add a second floppy to Archs without support (i.e. extra Gotek)

Good to know that re A3000s - David Holden’s article, linked to above, doesn’t specifically mention the A3000, presumably for this very reason! Anyhow, I do have some spare 2nd floppy pcbs It's also worth mentioning that the RISC PC "Mark 3" motherboard (the one with onboard 16bit sound) has the se...

Re: Usb/bluetooth keyboard on RiscPC

Because I have a wireless keyboard on my desk that can connect to 3 different devices at the press of a button just like my MXMaster mouse. It works with unifying receivers and Bluetooth devices. As the RiscPC is permanently setup under my dayjob desk, having the wired keyboard and mouse is clutter....

Usb/bluetooth keyboard on RiscPC

Looking to tidy up my office install over the Xmas period. Anything out there that will convert the Ps2 keyboard interface on the RISCPC so I can either connect a Bluetooth keyboard or plug in a Logtech Unifying adapter? Only thing I can find is a Startech PS22USB adapter that's not available any mo...

Hi,

If you're doing a batch when you feel better, I'd quite like one for my Master, too?

Re: Riscpc internal IDE with only Cdrom - valid config?

Is CDFSSoftATAPI involved when using the Unipod? If not, I'll look to try force loading a later version.

Unlikely to be a power supply issue... The unipod is in the same machine.. I simply move the 40pin cable from the motherboard to the podule.

Re: Riscpc internal IDE with only Cdrom - valid config?

Not sure on the year.. Will do a bit of research. Only reason I asked as they worked fine on Unipod. Music CDs etc are identified fine on the motherboard IDE, I just can't access any data.. Could it be a speed issue (drive too fast, perhaps)? Not overly bothered but seems a waste to use a Unipod Cha...

Riscpc internal IDE with only Cdrom - valid config?

Question... Is this a valid hardware configuration that should work? I have 2 Sony Cdrom drives that work fine (Master/Slave) when connected to a Unipod but fail to work properly when attached to the Built in IDE (Appear to hang on read accesses). Motherboard is an 0197,0100 with 4.02 in ROM BTW tri...

SCSIFS

Interestingly the SCSI2SD card seems rock solid attached to my 4.39 RPC instead of the 4.02 one.

More investigation required.

Re: RISC OS 4.39 FileCore Limits

Just installed a PowerTec and Scsi2sd in my 4.02 RiscPC, and am also seeing the same behaviour... Single 16GB partition results in a "Broken Directory" error, 4 x 4GB work fine. Card has been flashed with the latest firmware mailed to me by Mr Partis just a couple of weeks ago, and partitioned using...

Unipod IDE

Hi, Trying to get a Unipod fully functional in my RPC. I've managed to find a copy of the original Unipod software, have IDETool v1.30 and the USB and Network Ports are working perfectly. *However* I'm having trouble getting a CF Card to work properly. All the CF Cards fail to be recognised irrespec...

Re: RiscPC: IDE Podules

Can I ask which SD->CF->IDE adapters you're using? The ones I have refuse to play nicely with my Simtec Unipod and refuse to recognise a card as more than 32M

Thx
