A cheap ST506 solution would be fantastic for the Arch range. According to the application note AP-402 from Intel it has a fixed bitrate of 5 Mbits / second and a track length of 10416 bytes (non-lineair) . For the app note : https://www.intel-vintage.info/inteloth ... #889713809

Does someone have nice demonstration code for the system 1 ? There are a few example programs in the System 1 User Manual, but they're fairly functional and not very eye-catching. If you're after something a bit more "glitzy" , I could throw something together for you by the weekend. Would you be t...

You put the 40Gbyte drive as slave. I'm not sure if HForm will accept this size and if it allows you to select the 2nd harddrive.

PAL based ROM boards

Re: A5000 hard drive replacement

I would avoid CF-Cards altogether and go for an IDE to SATA adapter ( which needs a small modification ) and use a hard drive smaller than 300 Gbyte. I never managed to get a CF-card to work including having burned Wizzo.

Re: Gotek and FlashFloppy with RISC OS 2

There is also a third option and that is to put a jumper in the gotek on the 'jc' jumper in the RiscPC ( Actually A5000 and higher ) and place in the config file interface=jc. In the Archimedes, you don't have to put this 'jc' jumper. The Archimedes will only handle 800 K floppy adf images. https://...
