Re: Android B-em

Looked into the app (just unzip the .apk). Decompiled dex sources attached below (the other resources are in the original apk zip). The decompilation reveals that the app has a massive xamarin/mono/azure overhead. JD-GUI and IntelliJ decompilers may be easier to use...

Re: Android B-em

Unfortunately I don't have a tablet, but the app contains a "discs" directory full of ssd-s with pictures and xml configs to go with them. There is one called Music500.ssd and another named Music5000.ssd for the BBC B (8271).

Still looking :)
It is in The CCH Vault. There is talk about the possibility of archiving rare CCH material on a volunteer basis, hopefully a dedicated thread will emerge from the Archimedes Lisp thread.

Perhaps if an individial or group of people local to Cambridge were to approach the museum with regards to arranging a mini archiving meetup, I'm sure it's something they'd consider if a comprehensive list of desired items could be provided at the same time. You wouldn't necessarily need to wait fo...

Re: Android B-em

I don't have the source, but I doubt anyone will mind - it probably contradicts the license. It is a xamarin android app (and it has music500 and 5000) based on java 8. The apk can be unzipped and the code in assemblies/*.dll can be decompiled with either dotPeek (jetbrains ReSharper), ILSpy or dnS...

Re: Acorn Archimedes LISP (SKL14)

I’m a little sad, that Acorn Lisp for the Archimedes (SKL14) could not be archived last week during the Acorn World and ABUG meetup. It really seems to be a very rare piece of history. Apparently, it is a single ADFS disk, although the manual is purported to be 150 pages. According to legend, it has...

I would like to advocate for the archival/scan of: CH51971 Investigator III (possibly CH33988 Investigator) alongside the previously mentioned CH21518 Acornsoft Archimedes LISP (possibly CH42928 LISP - Demonstration Programs Disk Version, only scans, as we do have the disk) as nobody seem to have Ar...

Somebody has been quicker, but here are other versions, along with a little description/box:
Investigator-III
Investigator

If nobody happens to have these, hopefully it is not too late to ask the meetup people to archive and scan them.

But only reading them - the point of the project I mentioned is being able to write to real discs. Although I never used it, it states that: "What FluxEngine prefers is to read a disk, turn it into a filesystem image, and then synthesise flux from the filesystem image and write that to another disk...

Is this tape still available somewhere? The whole site went out of existence ...or at least seems to have changed purpose.

Re: Grasshopper spreadsheet - anyone heard of it?

That's interesting. Sounds like it might not be a RISC OS application at all then, given the date! I don't think so: there are a lot of blurbs and mentions about it in different Acorn magazines up until about ‘91 (e.g.: 1 , 2 ). Apparently there was a Grass database, and the Grasshopper spreadsheet...
