Re: The Maze of Terror

Thanks Streaks.
Hopefully I'll start work on this next year, after I finish a Spectrum game I'm working on - Foggy's Quest 2: The Lost Treasures of OMK. Once out of the way, I'll get back into the Acorn stuff. :D

Re: The Maze of Terror

Yes there are indeed only 4 colours, black, red, blue, yellow. The purple is blue/red dithering. As Tricky mentioned the resolution is just blown up in Photoshop and screengrabbed. :D Make not mistake these games (he says hopefully plural) won't be gaming masterpieces. Just fun little project...

The Maze of Terror

:D Hey fellow Acorns... This is just an idea I'm floating around. Won't been doing anything with it till next year. But thought I'd share my initial ideas. The Maze of Terror is hopefully the first in a little series of games based on BASIC type-in Programs. Taking the basic idea and code and expand...

Re: BeebSCUMM

Whoa.... been a while since I was here and this looks incredible. These type of games I was convinced couldn't ever exist on the Acorn machines. But then White Light & Prince of Persia came along and well nothings impossible I reckon. :D As for someone saying if I can add any graphics, I dunno, Sara...

Re: TZXDuino with UEF support

Why is it such a pain in the a*se to get these files to work?
Right done a quick search for Gunzip and it keeps mentioning Linux... is it just a Linux thing? I assume there's a Windows version somewhere and hopefully it works with Win 8.1 and above? [-o<

Re: TZXDuino with UEF support

I suspect it might the uef files themselves. I got them from Stairway to Hell. I just unzipped them to a folder and then copied them across to the SD Card. Other than that I dunno what might be wrong. :-k

Re: TZXDuino with UEF support

Nope that makes no difference. Hmmm... All I have plugged in at the moment is the EAR. I press Play and it says Playing for half a second and then goes back to displaying the uef file. I can keep my finger on the play button and it keeps saying Playing. Whether its actually playing the file I have n...

Re: TZXDuino with UEF support

I got a FAT formatted 128mb SD Card! Success. It loads up the card. I can see the different uef files. Now how do I load them. I hit Chain"" and return pick a file on the screen, I guess I just hit play, but it says playing for a split second and then nothing. What am I doing wrong? Baud Rate is set...

Re: TZXDuino with UEF support

Hey there I'm using a Duino. Or trying to. It doesn't seem to recognise my SD Card. Is there a particular brand they usually prefer or particular Format (FAT, FAT32, NTFS)? Up to now I can't find anything compatible with Windows 8.1 that will format in FAT32 or FAT? So it keeps formating to ExFAT wh...

Anyone used a DUINO on the Electron.

I'm looking at this DUINO, which apparently can run .euf files from an SD Card now. It basically replaces a Cassette Player. Now apart from coming with absolutely nothing, no leads, no instructions, not even a leaflet telling you what each port does or what leads to use, I cannot get it to read an S...

I did an Adventure: The Darkness of Raven Wood (Runs on BBC B/Electron/Master) runs in an emulator nicely (its disk based). Dunno if anyone ever got it to run from a physical Disk though. :D http://www.rucksackgames.co.uk Its pretty simple too, parser is very basic... EXAM CARRIAGE, GET KEY, IN, N, ...

=D> Are you going to do an Beebcade (Arcade Compilation) Like a MAME frontend. So you can launch to the different ports you've done. You must have a fair few now.
Look awesome as always Tricky. Nice work.

Its a pretty quick and dirty digitization through Image2BBC, I added the text and tidied a few pixels up. I would probably spend and fair bit of time tidying it up more for proper artwork for a game. Wow, these look amazing! OK, I promise I will dust off the code and start looking at this ag...
